Very cool! 😄 Reminds me of the Calendar on the Tiger Game.Com I think it was similarly calculated to save SRAM. I used to use that and the address book, and the PDA functions. Would have been neat to have a PDA for the Lynx. A little SRAM cart to save your address book, notes, etc. maybe a real time clock too. 😉

100% agree on a new ST, but I don't want a mini. Some kind of new Falcon running an FPGA core or one of the Coldfire CPUs would be amazing. TOS can run on anything with a 68000 and a framebuffer, so it would not be hard to do a new ST of some kind. 😛
As for 5200 or A8. I think some hybrid 5200 system with 128K RAM would be good. SD slot, and ability to use regular Atari joysticks and new analogue 5200 joysticks would be great.

If choosing between the 5200 and A8 computers, I'd prefer to see the 5200 get a "mini" release since the SuperSystem doesn't get much love, and as Justin mentioned, it should be able to support both 5200 and A8 software. As for future Atari computer minis, I want to see one for the ST line instead of another A8.

    Hello,
This is a calendar program I wrote back a decade ago, and recently ported to Lynx when getting the C compiler working.
It's a bit like the calendar on your phone that can keep generating calendars for months long into the future.
The data is calculated, not data stored within. Enjoy!

I had the OG Game Boy back in the day. I was aware of the releases of the Lynx and Game Gear back then, but I decided to stay with the GB for two reasons -- physical size and the amount of batteries consumed. AA batteries weren't cheap back then and I don't recall rechargeable AA readily available as they are now and the Lynx and GG were power hungry. I was fine with not having a backlit screen and the graphics beings what they were on the GB. The near pocket-ability of the GB was what won me over -- that and Tetris and Tennis.
I acquired a Lynx II with the upgraded screen a few years ago. It's staring at me right now across my desk, but unfortunately, I haven't given it the attention it deserves.

Coolness. 😄 I never had the Lynx, but I remember seeing it in a Boy's Life Magazine, and thought it was really neat looking. Leagues ahead of the Game Gear and Gameboy. I wanted a Game Gear for Sonic, I was Sonic crazy.
I did not get any handheld machine until 1996 besides the LCD Calculator types. 😅
A shame Jack's usual antics screwed over Epyx, and ultimately the Lynx. The hardware is very great. Funny enough the commercial with the boy playing the Lynx in school. I would play my Gameboy in the back of Science class in 1997. 😛 Never in the bathroom though. That was a place where you did not want to hang around too long. 😄

I have two stock Lynx systems. A Lynx 1 and 2. I also have a slew of games for them. They are a great addition to my collection.

I got my Lynx II when it was released.  I slowly, but surely, got a complete library of games for it.  I'm only missing P.I.T.S., which is very hard to find nowadays.  The system was better than the GameBoy by leaps and bounds but Atari did not do things right.

I always like to watch these videos to see what other people consider impressive games on the 2600.  It's a cool list of 2600 games and he includes my most favorite version of Frogger.

I have to admit that he chose some really good games. Battlezone and The Official Fogger are in my top 5 of original releases. I like Commando, but prefer Ikari Warriors, because you can hop in and out of the tanks. I used to play the coin-op BITD and loved that part of the game. Solaris is a really good game. I think it gets overlooked because most prefer Star Raiders. Nice to see Tunnel Runner get some love. Thanks for posting the video. It's actually a pretty good one.👍

I believe I picked up Game Panic cartridge from John Hancock at PRGE when it first released. Now that the case and manual are available, I got them along with his latest port of Sock Em and Block Em for the 7800.
