It sure did! I love Twin Peaks! It's not something I would normally choose to watch, but I ended up getting really into it! It is now my favorite show ^__^

Yes, that would be awesome! I have Super Breakout on my ipad (😆), which I enjoy playing occasionally. Of course that's not the original or anywhere as great though!

Oh that would have been nice getting it for $5! Yeah, the videos I watched made it look really relaxing 😄
I have a PS4 I got just over a year ago that I only have one game for, which is GTA. I want to get into playing my ps4 more but need some suggestions for games! I know the controller is similar to xbox, so I can probably use that for ATS.

I’d like to share something very special with you guys. This is an Atari Strategy Guide I began writing in 6th Grade. It's all true. Atari I/O started on paper!
I was 11 years old when I made this. If you flip through the pages of the Strategy Guide and squint hard enough, you’ll recognize similarities with our Atari I/O Blog posts, particularly the game reviews that I do with BTB.
I thought you guys might think this is cool to see. I’ve been talking with @btbfilms76, @Atari Creep and @Gianna about my days collecting Atari games in the early '90s, how some of the most interesting stuff in my collection are documents from Atari, and what it was like trying to do all this before the internet. My conversations with them inspired me to share this as a PDF for all of you to enjoy. It’s more of a sentimental curiosity than anything really useful, but if you read closely you’ll find a helpful tip or two in there.
It's also a bit of an artifact from a pre-internet Justin who way back then was just as fascinated and enthralled with the World of Atari as I am today. This little Strategy Guide was absolutely the beginning of what would become my Atari website and would evolve in time to become Atari I/O. It really did start on paper.
I scanned the original documents and compiled them in a PDF file as a digital recreation of the real thing. I also added a Table of Contents to help you find your way around, and a Preface which you see above.
I didn't get very far with the guide, but the games covered include these 7800 titles:
FATAL RUN JINKS ACE OF ACES SCRAPYARD DOG CENTIPEDE The Strategy Guide also contains 2600/7800 cartridge price lists and customer service ordering forms from Atari Corp. from 1993.
If you manage to make out my sloppy 6th Grade handwriting, you'll notice that I get some details wrong. I began writing this Strategy Guide before the internet was available to me. Digging up historical info on Atari, we had to get resourceful. Whatever I knew I learned from my own experience of piecing together historical details from Atari catalogs and game boxes, checking out books from the school library, talking with @Video 61 for hours at a time, or calling Atari directly and speaking with Geraldine at the front desk. "Hi, is Jack there?"
In a way it’s sad that Jack Tramiel’s Atari didn’t give us nice things like expansive Strategy Guides, big beautiful fold-out maps, a magazine as cool as Nintendo Power, or the type of immersive games that would’ve created a huge demand for things like this. Little 6th Grade me took it upon myself to make this, because what else was I supposed to do? I was still excited about Atari, I wanted to share Atari with as many people as I could. I don’t know who I was writing this for at the time, friends I guess, but apparently I was writing it for you guys. It just had to sit in a time capsule first.
⬇️ The PDF is attached below. ⬇️ I hope you guys enjoy this glimpse into the beginning of Atari I/O!

Great to see you and @Atari Creep including your wives in the Squad Challenge! We should do stuff like this more often, especially on games that everybody knows like Ms. Pac-Man. I love that you guys got them to join in on this.

I'm experiencing something similar. Playing with a 7800 Control Pad on real hardware, on one of the "newest" 7800s from that last run, which should be identical to your 7800  @btbfilms76because we both got the same thing from @Video 61 a few years ago.
I've made it through about 8 screens, up into the Pear levels. Yes, I'm experiencing some sort of controller lag and it's been in the back of my mind this entire time we've been playing. But, no, what I perceive is the same amount of controller lag right from the start. I feel it the same on the 1st screen as I do on the 8th.
I'm especially noticing it in the corners. One of my strategies is to make the ghosts chase me around until they are in a herd, then dart off to one of the corners by a power pellet, then wait until they're almost on top of me before I eat the pellet, then turn around and eat the ghosts. Lately I feel like when I do that, on the first screens where the power pellets are toward the corners, I'll time it to where they're right up on me then hit the d-pad to move toward a pellet, except Ms. Pac-Man will just sit there and that first tap of the d-pad is unresponsive. Does this have something to do with my position on the screen being in the corners? Does this have to do with so many sprites (herd of all 4 ghosts) being so close to me? Does this have to do with Ms. Pac-Man being stopped? Is this all in our minds?
@btbfilms76 We always like to say "The Atari 7800 was like the Neo-Geo of its day. It had so many arcade games on it and it did them so well, it was close to arcade-perfect." But then I start noticing things like this control issue on Ms. Pac-Man, and I get that same sinking feeling of impending doom like when you know you've failed a test in school.
I first remembered this "lag" issue when I started playing last week for this Squad Challenge. It was minor, and I thought it was the controller I was using. Then @Gianna and I played together on 2-Player, and she said the same thing. We went through like four different controllers and she was still feeling it. Then I saw your Ms. Pac-Man episode, and Nicole was saying the exact same stuff about the controllers that Gianna was saying. Then the same thing happened again when @Atari Creep streamed Ms. Pac-Man with his lady, and it was the same story. This is an otherwise excellent version of Ms. Pac-Man, I wish these lag issues didn't exist.

Agreed. But there comes a point where it's requiring us to "telegraph our moves" so far in advance that it starts to feel like the controller is broken.

    Awesome!
I was just thinking about this game actually. I randomly came across it on YouTube not long ago and watched a few videos of people playing it. It looks a bit relaxing and I am planning on getting it.. I just need to set up a Steam account!

SCS Software, creators of Euro Trucking Simulator 2 (ETS2) and American Truck Simulator (ATS), started holding an event they called #TruckAtHome in an effort to getting the people that play those games to stay at home.  When logged in and if the player picks freight from an external contract the World of Trucks website will keep track of how many miles have been delivered in both trucking games...live.  For every 20,000,000 km driven they made a pledge to do something positive to help the fight against COVID-19 combined with Steam giveaways.
Within 24 hours of starting the event that 20,000,000 km milestone has been done 20 times.  And, yes, I also helped in ATS.  There's a personal milestone of 2,600 km which I completed in 2 hours.  There will be a prize but that prize has yet to be determined.  So...I thought I would share what one game developer is doing to help during these troubled times.  You can read more here if you are interested:
    https://www.worldoftrucks.com/en/
And pic of my truck with the paint mod (provided by the developers but seen as an unofficial mod LOL).

This is one modern game I love to play and never get tired of.  I just wish I could get Washington, Oregon, and Utah states.  LOL.  I'd also like to see more freight types but the game is well made and being heavily supported.
