Hey @SecondChance Retro, if you plug those paddles in and your on-screen avatar is "jittery" (it doesn't move smoothly side to side, seems kind of jumpy), then you need to clean them up internally.  If that ends up being the case, and you need help, please hit us up here.  It is not hard as long as you are comfortable taking stuff apart.

Yeah paddle games are some of my favorites , a 2'nd set and you can play 4 player Warlords (some reason my nephews like it better than Midevil Mayhem)
For cleaning the paddles I usually reference "Slowcoders guide" on Atari age https://atariage.com/forums/topic/184296-slowcoders-guide-to-cleaning-up-your-2600/?do=findComment&comment=2316794
Specifically what console are you playing on ? original hardware or a flashback unit ?

You’re going to want to clean those if you haven’t used them yet! Not a hard process, and it’s worth it. Paddles are the number one reason to own a real 2600.
I personally recommend Kaboom!, Night Driver, Circus Atari, both Breakouts, and all the rest. Street Racer is surprisingly fun with friends. Canyon Bomber is one of my personal favorites, too!
I am planning on doing a Paddle Games edition of Atari Night soon. You’re welcome to use footage from that in a video if you wish, since I know you don’t have a capture device quite yet (whenever it comes out of course. I’m thinking sometime next week. Episode 2 will be 7800 games most likely).
Again, good luck on your Atari journey!

Well, first off, welcome to Atari.io. Second, I have those controllers. I have played Breakout, Super Breakout, Night Driver, and I think Demons to Diamonds. I also love playing Kaboom with them. They're actually pretty good controllers. They also have decent response time with paddle games. Kaboom is one of my favorite paddle games.

Welcome to our 98th Squad Challenge! We're venturing into new territory with our very first Squad Challenge for the Magnavox Odyssey ²! Attack of the Timelord! is a thrilling Demon Attack-style game with a great level of challenge. If you're new to the Odyssey ² this is a great place to start. Attack of the Timelord! was released by Magnavox in 1982 and was programmed by Odyssey ² super-programmer Ed Averett who also programmed the great Pick Axe Pete! The Timelord is a really cool looking Odyssey character, and if you use "The Voice" hardware attachment, you'll hear the Timelord's voice speaking various phrases in between waves. ROM and Instructions are provided below. Need help with Magnavox Odyssey ²? @nosweargamer and @HDN are Atari I/O's In-House Odyssey ² Experts! Good luck to everybody participating!

@MaximumRD I cant even express how thankful I am for that feedback! The fact that you even took the time to break it all down just baffles me! I didn’t expect anyone to really notice my post or video. But this Community has been nothing but nice and positive towards me! I aim to only post quality videos that get to the point, even if  its just 5 minutes or longer, whatever it takes to feel like a complete product.  I honestly filmed that video with hundreds of takes because I caught myself not being myself. So what you see in the video is the real me. I felt a little awkward but i started to get more and comfort As the video progressed. Once again thank you! Have a great rest of your day!

I'm really excited to see a modern solution for the lack of the old Retro Radio Shack P-Box Electronic Project Kits.   I built a few of them when I was a kid, but now if you can find one on Ebait they want a King's ransom for one.  Well, I love the new updated and reproduction so much I thought I'd make a video to share with others, because as they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words!

Dude, I subscribed and being on Youtube (MaximumRD) since 2008 with hundreds of subscriptions that is something I do not do very much these days and more often then not when checking out a NEW youtuber I don't expect to subscribe but you earned it. Short and concise but managed to convey your personality and more importantly does not feel like a "made up" personality, you were funny, entertaining and informative AND you managed to pack that all within a 10 minute video? Hell, I drone on and on and on in my vids mostly but that's just me 😉I appreciate a video that is not longer then what is needed to convey the message, hell there are youtubers I absolutely LOVE and I think do great professional work that I often fast forward and skim through to grab the good bits simply because they are going on and on or just repeating what they just went over unnecessarily or simply to stretch the video out to fulfill a certain amount of time, I see none of that here and appreciate it. WELCOME, that is a great video to introduce anyone thinking about picking up a 2600 to. Great job! Keep it up, have fun and be yourself!
