I have been playing Rollerball all day long.  I have not seen this game since I rented it in the mid 1990's I believe.  I've never found it to buy anywhere in my area or surrounding areas.  Even used it was hard to find.  I'm very happy to finally have this one.

Damn.  And that's not a lot of games?!?  I see two Zelda games.  Awesome collection and that is a decent sized collection.  That's about how many I have in physical carts.  Most of those you have are what I grabbed decades ago on sale.  Those are not that cheap now.
It's a little blurry but do I see Faxanadu?  I have that one but have yet to really dig into it.

The NES Rygar was a really good game I thought.  I really liked the adventure and almost RPG-style of game play.  I did eventually beat it but not after having the power fail while keeping the NES on overnights. Dragon Warrior I eventually beat, too, but not without the mini guide NP gave out to subs.

Pulling out a bunch of NES games since it's hooked up. I spent a weekend at my mom's in some year, maybe 90. Rented this one just to have something to play. Still love it!

Since we have a Gradius challenge I thought I'd throw this one in.  Salamander for the FC.  There is one difference between Salamander and Life Force that could affect a score run which is Salamander gives you one Option more than Life Force.  But this was my run.  I was doing good with one life then died at the start of the third wave and...that was it.

PS3 games.  I've built up a collection of 33 games so far with very little cost.  This system seems to be in that "cheap" sweet spot of collecting right now.

    Hi and welcome!
You don't need a switch box to connect your 2600. Instead, I'd recommend an RCA to Coax adapter like the one linked (for reference). With this you can hook it up directly to your TV cable line in.

I want to get this game for my Famicom. I know it is on the NES Classic Mini but getting it on the Famicom would sort of complete the series as I already have Gradius II and Salamander.
Sometimes I've went through that gap and got 5,000 points and other times I got nothing.  The boulder suspended just before the volcanos?  If you back into it just right without killing yourself you can nab another 5,000.

There's a mountain with a gap in it on the first level. If you go through it you get 5,000 points. Just in case you didn't know. 🙂

Slow progress.  I got the white sword!
I really do believe this is the spiritual successor to Atari "Adventure".  I don't know about you, but I know every inch of the Adventure map -- where all the castles and rooms are, and how to get through every maze.  But we all must remember we didn't start with that knowledge...In my case, kid me took a lot of time to explore and learn.  And that's exactly what I'm doing with LOZ.

I still haven't been able to get off the first level.  I use to be better at this game.  Slight score improvement though.

This kind of reminds me of my love for the game "Motocross Madness".  It was brilliant when new.  And although it looks really dated now, it still has the most perfect controls and is almost relaxing to drive around and do some mondo jumps and stunts.

Was actually playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition (2012) for PC the other day, sure the graphics are very dated but I think they have a charm still but you know, I STILL have fun with that one, driving around while listening to 80's tunes just can't be beat! I still seem to do that more than properly play through the story 😎😆 ADMISSION, I HAVE NEVER FINISHED A GTA GAME 🤷‍♂️
    PIC FOR REFERENCE (NOT MINE)

    Congratulations Greenween!

Congratulations to "The Mayor" @greenween on becoming Atari I/O's reigning Space Invaders champ!! We played Space Invaders on default settings and had plenty of scores roll over, but it was a fun event and worth spending all this "nerd cred" on rolled scores! @greenween rolled his score twice came in 1st Place with his outstanding score of 23,125 played on real hardware. "The Don" @RickR was hot on Greenween's tail with his out-of-this-world score of 21,945 points, taking 2nd Place in our Final Standings. @Dinobot711 takes 3rd Place in our Final Standings with his incredible score of 8,790 points, @TrekMD takes 4th Place with 6,620, and @Atari 5200 Guy rounds things out in 5th with a solid showing of 6,225 points. @Gianna and I both attempted to join this Squad Challenge and unfortunately my Space Invaders cartridge bit the dust, so we're submitting official scores of "0 points" as we both at least tried to participate. Awesome scores all around, and I hope all of you enjoyed playing Space Invaders! As I always, I'd like to encourage @greenween to post his new high score on the Scoreboard to make sure this Challenge continues! We'll be seeing you in the next event as Pizza Party Summer marches on all summer long!
NOTE: Our next High Score Squad is Gradius for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Be there!
