Yeah, overheating from having those slats closed. Tsk tsk tsk.

You should get the plastic hangers...you know the ones where there are long triangular strips you slide onto the top and bottom of the poster, and then the top one has a string that's used for hanging. I'll take a picture when I get home if you need it.
  3. Thanks for the follow up. Very happy to know you got it solved and working properly. :thumb:
  4. Sh@t gets real when the bongos kick in.
  5. Pick one up if you can. It is a lot less expensive than a real Master System console. Reminds me a lot of playing Gamecube games on a Wii.
  6. If anyone ordered one...looks like the stickers came in and packages shipped on 7/14
  7. The Sega Master System is out for a little fun.
  8. Porky Pig for SNES is good! It's a fun little platformer. Nothing too exciting. It's got some good spooky organ music.
  9. I've been in a bit of a hot streak lately. Anyone know if this is any good? SNES Pork Pig's Haunted Holiday.
  10. And I guess I should add that I had no nostalgic connection to the CoCo at all. I never had one as a kid, never really wanted one, never drooled over the ads. Strangely enough, we never really went to Radio Shack back then. So maybe that explains my flippancy a little more. To say something positive, CoCo did have a really nice version of MS Basic. So there's that.
  11. I had a CoCo and a bunch of games (including Dungeons of Daggorath), but ended up selling it. As far as classic computers go, the CoCo was pretty weak games-wise. It just didn't compare to Atari or Commodore or Apple. In both quality and quantity of games. There was one game in particular that had two dinosaurs fighting that was just pathetic. Add in floppy non-centering joysticks... And also finding games was really difficult. I'm usually not so negative. In fact, I own and kind of appreciate a Mattel Aquarius for gods-sake! But for whatever reason, I just never warmed to the CoCo. Oh! One more thing....the fact that they picked puke green as the color when you turn on the machine was just awful. Who would do that? In the end, I decided to sell it and haven't missed it at all. I say you enjoy the games you want using emulation and stop kicking yourself.
  12. Dungeons of Daggorath was for the Color Computer, right? I just confirmed that CoCo emulation in MESS works.
  13. Take a look at MESS and the front-end "MESSUI"
  14. The external DVD drive is handy for those laptops that don't have a DVD drive in them.
  15. A pretty nice day: An external USB DVD writer Wii steering wheel accessory with a wiimote.
  16. Of course it's not too early. I hope we get a chat room back by then...would be fun to do a live chat while it's on.
  17. https://www.si.com/longform/2017/nba-jam-oral-history/index.html A very interesting article from Sports Illustrated about the arcade game NBA Jam. It has commentary from the development team (Mark Turmell!) and many others involved. I found it a very entertaining read about a truly great and innovative game.
  18. I think that is true. Rowsdower would know for sure I'll bet.
