Some of this stuff is from game stores, not thrift...
A trip to Seattle, WA. They have some really good gaming stores up there. Found a lot of good junk to buy.
The N64 cart is from a Goodwill.
It's a pretty easy fix. Just needs a screwdriver and a little time. I've done it a few times, each time buying from a seller on ebay with good feedback.
That's a really nice big room. I've been sharing my game room with my kids for the past 20+ years. Well guess what? Youngest is about to leave for college...and then it will be ALL MINE -- Bwoo-ha-ha-ha!
I just wanted to share this one. The ROM file is available for free here:

The game is great -- very similar to "Smithereens" on the Odyssey 2 (but no voice ). I tried the game and it's a lot of fun with 2 players.
I decided to purchase a real copy of the game. Why? Because it's really affordable and that deserves to be supported. How many times have we seen a homebrew that's over $50? This one is only about $18 shipped from the Netherlands! It only comes with a ROM board and stickers -- you have to provide a cart shell. I think that's really cool if that's all it takes to keep it so affordable.
Credit where credit is due -- I discovered all this from this John Hancock video:
A project to share: I took the broken C64 power adapter, cut off the cable, and then soldered in two modern switching power adapters. One 5VDC, and one 9VAC. It was pretty easy, and it works great now. I figure if I could do it, others could too. I did shrink tube the individual wires, but didn't have big enough shrink wrap for the outer wires. So I just used duct tape. I know it doesn't look that great, but it should be a lot safer than the original.
There's some cool folks over at AtariAge. AA forum member Trebor has created a really nice and complete 7800 ROM pack. Check it out.

Oh my gosh! I had no idea I'd start a kid argument!
From NSG, I got these two ultra-rare titles! Thanks very very much!!!
And I can't wait for that Space Invaders review. The bad ones are the most entertaining.
Check out what I found while looking for a blank floppy!
The disk on the bottom is a supposedly "NT-compatible" version of Doom I got from Rowsdower's link.
More coming soon.....
