RickR got a reaction from Lost Dragon in Silicon Valley
I like it a lot. But it's very much a Mike Judge show. If you like King of the Hill, Beavis & Butthead, etc, you'll like this too. And TJ Miller is really hilarious in this show.

Anyone else a fan?
There have been a few retro T-shirt sightings:

Sweet stuff Atari Creep! Well, I would not of thought of it but since you brought it up I guess I DO have some Atari related artwork and it was even done back in the day when Atari 2600 was still selling. Basically, me and a friend use to make our comics and though they were not very good we tried to make them as much like the real thing as possible and with that in mind here is an "advertisement" I created - SCHOOL ESCAPE for the Atari 2600
School Escape, in it you try to get my friend GORD to school without him running into any diversions, he liked to skip school LOL!
Pretty much you controlled me Gord in the game trying to make it from his house to the school while avoiding various temptations and obstacles along the way.
I do not recall all the details but you would have to run from bullies and also avoid being "sucked in" by temptations like the Comic Shop, Ice Cream store or the transit streetcar that whisked you away downtown lol. Those things would draw you in like a tractor beam and yeah truth be told such things were often excuses to skip school in "real life", we were a bad influence on each other
As a bonus years later after I scanned and uploaded the original to Facebook I used Atari online label maker to turn it into a "proper"
2600 label.

RickR got a reaction from Lost Dragon in NSG's Atari 7800 Prototype Mega Thread!
I would guess figuring out the controls issue was pretty daunting too. ROF needs a "systems" button, a "airlock" button, a "fire" button, a "return to mothership" button, and some way to control speed. Cramming this all in to a 2 button joystick may have seemed like another Karateka in the making.

RickR reacted to Sabertooth in Your first car
My first car was a blue 1987 Yugo GV. I've always been fascinated by anything quirky and, frankly, it was the only car my 16 year old self could afford working partime after school at Kroger. I picked it up for $400 and sold six months later for $500, under parental pressure to get something "safer." Safer, apparently meant an '84 Ford Tempo with power steering issues. I don't have a picture of my Yugo but it looked like this one:

If this is in the wrong location let me know. I will move it!!!!
I held off on posting this here but today figured what the hell! Little known about me is I am an artist and a prop maker. Mainly deal with macabre subjects but once in a while I play around with other stuff, video games are no exception. Now the images are not the greatest and these are no where near my better works but I figured I would share them to see if others would follow. I would LOVE to see other personal works that are gaming related!!!

RickR got a reaction from Atari Creep in A8 Bosconian homebrew is AWESOME
Available here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/254670-bosconian-for-the-8-bits/
The newest version is spectacular. It's really challenging. Graphics are great. Speech synthesis is great. Just an absolute blast to play.
Here's some pics of my setup. I use the old laptop as a file server for an SIO2PC cable.

ROF would have been a great addition to the 7800 library. This was one of my favorite games on Atari 8-bit, and I was just playing it the other night. The "surprise" in the game is so cool, and it by itself makes the game worthwhile. There is suspense every single time you stop to rescue a pilot.

RickR got a reaction from Cousin Mike in Atari I/O Secret Santa 2016!
OMG! Ha ha ha. I started opening gifts...and out comes Combat, and another Combat...and on and on! Well played sir. That was funny! The Combat top center is like super pristine Combat! I think I'll put that one in the Combat box I have. It's treasure to me.
And while it's no Combat...I did also get Genesis Marble Madness and Lynx Hydra (sealed!). WOW! Thanks so much to Mr and Mrs Rowsdower. Really really nice stuff. THANK YOU.
