Please DO post what CIB games you are looking for, as I would be happy to help with that.  And I'm interested in any games you have that I don't already have.  Probably Genesis, NES, and manuals.

The junk box concept would be really cool!  Maybe have a big ziploc bag within that contains items we can put in that YOU want back, so that nobody takes those.

In any case, THANKS.  It's nice of you no matter who gets them.  And congrats on getting your game room set up how you like it.  That's huge.

I’ll make a list. It would all be commons. I’m going to pare my collection down to the games I had as a kid & for those, I’d like to have a CIB collection. (Easier to display & cooler 😀)

    Sooooo...
I finally have my game room/man cave/hideout nearly completed. I’m unpacking all of my stuff from the move two years ago & guess what? I need to purge more.
I’m going to have a junk box or two of 2600 games, some Genesis games, more manuals & other stuff. I’m sure there will be some NES games too once I get to that box.
Just like last time, I’m not looking for anything in return. HOWEVER, if anyone has any CIB 2600 games (that I’ll list in a separate post), that would be awesome. 😀
I’ll update this post as I keep unpacking & sorting. I just wanted to give you all a heads up. 👍

I want to get an Everdrive, but I haven't yet.  I have downloaded a lot and play via emulators, though.  But it's just not the same...  As far as what games worth trying, it's hard to recommend games without knowing what someone is into... There are tons of shooters/shmups on the system, of course.  Blazing Lazers is one of the better known ones, but there's also Raiden, R-Type, AeroBlasters, Air Zonk, Soldier Blade, Darius, Super Star Soldier... the list goes on and on...  I haven't played as many platformers for the system, but Legendary Axe, and the Bonk series are great.  I'd throw in JJ and Jeff for honorable mention just because of how weird it is.  The sports games are all kinda meh from what I've played, but they can be more fun if played with a friend.  Neutopia and Neutopia 2 are great Zelda clone type games... Honestly, my best advice is find somewhere to download the games, and just go through each letter and grab anything that looks like it might be fun.  I did.  😃

Furthermore, how cool that you kept the original console AND the box, and all the various pieces of your collection.  I have my original boxed Atari 2600 from my youth, but I stupidly threw out all the boxes for the games.

I'm new to the TG-16, having just got one a few months ago.  You'll have to let me know which games are worth trying.  I ended up buying an everdrive, because as you mention, the prices can be pretty nuts for games -- IF you can even find them.

My best guess would be used PC parts.  A video card perhaps.  I remember selling some of my Atari stuff I didn't need anymore.  A 1030 modem, a 1025 printer.  It was amazing at the time that people would want that old crap LOL.

Here's pics of my Intellivision stuff...  Got all of this from a coworker.  It was literally one of those, "Look what I found in my mom's attic" kind of deals.  He tried selling it all to a local game store, but didn't like their offer then he came to me.  I told him he should have come to me first.  lol  I offered him $50 and he accepted.  Then I found out that I could only get $40 out as cash at the register, so I told him I'd owe him the other 10 and he said not to worry about it.  The $40 was already over twice what the game store offered him.  😃

(Sorry the pics aren't that great... need to take updated ones.  These are on my old apartment's kitchen floor and the dark color tile wasn't a good choice for a background.)

I got my TurboGrafx back in High School.  Probably '91, but I don't remember exactly.  I had been looking in gaming mags and watching the battle between the Turbo and the Genesis (SNES wasn't out yet).  I finally convinced my parents to get me a TurboGrafx, but didn't know it right away.  My dad and step-mom told my mom that they were getting me one for Christmas, and my mom told me so I could pick out a game I wanted (because she had no idea about games.)  I picked Legendary Axe.  The system came with a mail in offer for a free game that required filling out a card and sending in the UPC and proof of purchase from the box (so my box has some holes in it where I cut them out).  The free game I got was Blazing Lazers.  They also got me the TurboTap and an extra TurboPad.

I don't remember the order in which the rest of the collection was acquired or years...  I know that World Class Baseball, Psychosis, and Military Madness were all bought when the local Hastings store was selling their rental games.  TV Sports Football and the controller extension cable (an actual TG extension cable) were bought from Turbo Zone Direct vial mail order.  But the others, I'm not sure... some Ebay, but don't remember which ones exactly.  But the last game I got for it was Ninja Spirit and that was about five years ago.  Most of the stuff was bought before prices skyrocketed.  Hard to justify or afford games these days.  lol

New here, obviously.  Saw the posts on Twitter and followed.  Didn't realize it was a forum until I saw the post about the chat and decided to check it out.  Thought, "Oh, they're doing a TurboGrafx R-Type scoring thing...  I wanna put in a score."  😃

I'm in the East Texas area, about two hours East of Dallas.  Been playing video games since my family first got a pong clone in the late 70s/early 80s.  Been collecting for about 25 years or so, but still don't have a huge collection.  Too many consoles, too many games, not enough money.  The usual.

Been member of the AtariAge forums for about ten years.  Figured I'd branch out some.

Pic is of me at the National Videogame Museum in Frisco Texas.  It's a great place to visit if you're in the Dallas area.

My dad bought a Leaf a few years ago and loves it. He installed a level 2 charger at his house to charge it more quickly.  I've driven it a little, and it is pretty great.  He always drives it in economy mode to get the most miles out of a charge. There's apparently a setting to just charge up the batteries to 80% so they last longer, which my dad normally uses.

Thanks!  If you have any tips or anything, please let me know.  I really need to read the manual, as there are switches and gauges that I'm not sure what they mean.  Right now, I've just plugged it in and will leave it in overnight.  I'm using the 120V plug.  Is there anything else to it?
It really makes me nervous buying a used car, but I feel like this one is in really good shape and the Carfax looks really good.  We really wanted another Prius, but it's impossible to find one that has low miles at a decent price.  Leaf's seem like a really good bargain.  Low mile cars are easy to find and very well priced.  This car has both types of plug (AC and DC) and also has some cool bells/whistles (like a rear-view camera).  It's showing 11 (of 12) bars on the battery retention.
I'm really impressed at how much oomph the Leaf seems to have.  It's really fun to drive!
