  1. I remember playing this in the arcades that lined the street at Geneva on the lake, a summer resort we would frequent on our vacations. At the beginning of the street the arcades housed all the older pinball and electro magnet type games, I can still remember the smell of melted plastic and burn metal. The end of the block housed the newest games around Space Harrier, Hang on, the newest of the new. But check the mechanics of this cabinet - its wild.
  2. Never seen anything like it. Very Cool!

  5. Thanks. I think we got something cool over here, not only is it showcasing great Atari games and hardware, but we're sharing the experience with others. This was great because they are big Nintendo guys.

  7. Oh yes... the UK crowd lol. Ive have some major battles in the past, especially when I started out, how ever Tom Charnock from Dreamcast Junkyard has been a real support. Im just doing what Im doing and others, I guess aren't fans... and I'm ok with that.
  8. Eat em all up! Ms. Pac-Man Atari Lynx Review on the Blog: http://www.atari.io/ms-pac-man-atari-lynx-lounge/
  9. Indy was an amazing, I say WAS like it's a thing of the past, ni it is an amazing game. I loved Temple of Doom when I was a kid and to be a be able to play a game like this + the digitized voices... this was a thing of beauty. The Atari System 1 and 2 cabs I feel were some of the best arcade games around for that time. You always knew your quarter would return a solid and fun game experience.
  10. And in a darkened arcade, that light up red track ball was magic.
  11. Ms Pac Man on Lynx Lounge this Friday! Waka Waka

  15. Make the perfect Atari themed adult beverage for the holidays http://www.atari.io/atari-twist/

  16. Alright Im gonna go play that today on my cab and Ill report back.
  17. This game looks wack. They were right to pull this after the success of DK, following with DK JR smart move not Sky Skipper.
  18. Wow... First off let me start by saying thank you Lost Dragon. There is a lot to unpack in your last two post and I want to say its really great to have such dedicated and knowledgeable Atari and retro gaming fans on this sight. Second I believe we are doing what we're doing because we have seen the Atari narrative change from the beloved American gaming company that started it all to a bumbling "no wonder it failed" shit show. We are here because we are changing that narrative back to what it once was by trying to remember the fun we had and still have to this day. Lets continue to bring out the facts, keep things in context and leave the fan boyism to the other guys. This is a wonderful platform to share our memories and to share these systems with the younger generation gamers. Again Thanks LD
  19. Absolutely nails it. Also are these "journalist" actually playing on real hardware? I can understand going out and getting your hands on a NES or Genesis, but to find a real Jaguar in the wild... good luck. And even when you do, you'er gonna pay big bucks. So are they playing on an emulator? How good is the emulator? Are you using the game pad? Or are you just reciting what AVGN said 10 years ago? Context is key in reviewing these games, I feel like we do a good job at that.
  20. Amazing work! Atari.io is the best!! Three cheers.
