No not mine. Just a memory. It's my understanding that a lot of these melted or worse yet caught fire. Something about bulbs burning up the plastic components.

I remember playing this in the arcades that lined the street at Geneva on the lake, a summer resort we would frequent on our vacations.
At the beginning of the street the arcades housed all the older pinball and electro magnet type games, I can still remember the smell of melted plastic and burn metal.  The end of the block housed the newest games around Space Harrier, Hang on, the newest of the new.

But check the mechanics of this cabinet - its wild.

Yes, that is the story of the 2600-versions. But the 7800-titles weren't produced by Coleco. They were made by Atari Corporation. I think, that's another breathtaking story on atari.io.
@BTB: Now i have seen the new episode. Great stuff and your guests are very congenial.

At first I confused this with TX-1 until I watched the video. Is this your arcade machine BTB?

Some of the licenses (Donkey Kong) were attained from Coleco after they got out of the video game business and filed for Chapter 11 in 1988 as well. That's why there's the initial Coleco Donkey Kong release for Atari 2600, and the 1988 reissue of 2600 Donkey Kong from Atari.

Had Atari used its old A8 licence for their Nintendo-translations to the 7800? 1988 they had met in court and were definitely no friends at all.

Great video!  I use my 32x for the brains of a gutted arcade cabinet.  Three 32x games I use in the cab on rotation - Space Harrier, After Burner 32x, and Star Wars Arcade.

Thanks.  I think we got something cool over here, not only is it showcasing great Atari games and hardware, but we're sharing the experience with others.  This was great because they are big Nintendo guys.
