In the first episode of 7800 Ave. we celebrate Howard Scott Warshaw's Birthday by playing a few rounds of Yars' Revenge. 

On the show we'll play 7800 games and 2600 games because thats the beauty of the system - you can play both. Play some Atari today with your friends and family and watch out for that zorlon cannon.

I like the way you host the show. You speak clearly but not overly professional or anything. No Swear Gamer is good at that too. Too many shows on youtube hosted by guys half-mumbling in their spare bedroom uhh and umming their way to 100,000 views. This feels upbeat and well made. And I like your family a lot too

Hey Prof.  I have some amazing new toys coming from video 61 for the show, I will be showing them off and doing an unboxing... Which will lead into the next next video.  It will be a 2 player game, 2 players at the same time

That is correct, a guest will come over and we will play 7800 games.  But because the system plays 2600 as well I want to dip into those games too.  The Jag Bar episode of Warlords was a tryout for 7800 Ave.  The difference between The Jag Bar and 7800 Ave format wise is I will not have the section where we meet a guest at the bar then play,  7800 Ave will be just a guest joining me to play and getting right into the game and discussing our thoughts at the end.  Plus the set will look amazing - lots of brick walls, arcade games and neon.

Yeah its very cool, however Im trying to figure out what application its best for.  For example, I thought It might be really good for Xevious, its not.  Mrs Pac-Man, not bad, Pitfall 2 - nope...  But today I was playing it with BallBlazers and it was perfect.  The V61 Gripstick Joystick needs its own episode in order to break down what it is, what it does and what games its good for.  Im doing research on it... you know, playing lots of games with it, "research".

Thanks.  I think we got something cool over here, not only is it showcasing great Atari games and hardware, but we're sharing the experience with others.  This was great because they are big Nintendo guys.

Had Atari used its old A8 licence for their Nintendo-translations to the 7800? 1988 they had met in court and were definitely no friends at all.

Some of the licenses (Donkey Kong) were attained from Coleco after they got out of the video game business and filed for Chapter 11 in 1988 as well. That's why there's the initial Coleco Donkey Kong release for Atari 2600, and the 1988 reissue of 2600 Donkey Kong from Atari.
