I've had minor trouble with all of the memory expansion boards I've tried on TI.  It feels like the timing has to be just right for it to work.  For the three solutions I've tried, all of them were finicky and may not work correctly upon first booting.  Usually, a few reboots fixed them.  Also, cleaning the expansion card connectors helps.

Thanks, I'll try that when I get the time, it might be a week or two though.

This a "contemporary" SAMS or a "vintage" one?  Wonder if it's just a matter of a bad RAM chip....

It's not a vintage board, it one of the first batch Ksarul made.  I'll switch it out for one of my original 32K boards and retest and while it's out of the box I'll clean the contacts.

A friend of mine designed a Hospital Starship and gave it my name.  Another friend just had a model of this ship made to gift it to me.  So, here is the USS Angueira in all its glory!

WOW, I'm envious!  No one deserves it better than a doctor into Star Trek.  I wish there was better button than the heart I could have pressed, because I think this is simply awesome.. Congratulations.

  3. After I moved into my retirement condo, my TI had everything in place, but nothing was plugged in.  I've been calling Heatwave BBS with my cell phone or PC using Classic 99, but tonight since I had a few minutes, I finally took the time to hook everything up.  With the exception of some issues with the FinalGROM, everything else seems to be working.  Yeah, eight months is a long time, but there is so little TI activity here, I've not felt any rush to jump into action.

  4. So one of the things I like about Alexa is adding things (by voice) to my "shopping list" as I think about them, then telling it to print my list when I'm ready to go shopping.  Well, it apparently Alexa keeps track of the toner levels in my printer as well.  Today, out-of-the-blue I got a notification on Alexa and an email from it informing me my cyan level was down to 15% and that I needed to reorder.  Wow, that was unexpected, but nice to know before I ran out.
