  1. To open or not to open?

Pulled from the most recent No Swear Gamer retro game box is the Hot Wheels USS Vengeance.  Should I open it, or display it in the package?

Plus a view of the other ships in my office.

  3. Since I've now got an extra $3k sitting in my bank account, since most necessities have been taken care of, I'm actually starting to look into maybe snagging a few rarer hardware pieces for my *New* collection.

I'm looking at either a Famicom Disk System or a Twin Famicom to start.

    Any suggestions from you guys?

  6. Apparently Nintendo is filming a commercial on Saturday in our building. Maybe this is my chance to be discovered?  Too obvious if I come decked out in a Zelda t-shirt? 😂

  7. Whelp I just finally got myself an Atari Lynx! Not the best physical condition but it works. Gonna try to repaint the case, I think. It's the first model type. Not the more compact model 2.

  8. 📰 Google paid $58.1 million for the Atari building at 1272 Borregas Ave.  This building was home to 2600 games development and all the zany things that went on there. The Mercury News has a nice article on this which quotes Atari I/O: https://www.mercurynews.com/2019/07/01/google-grabs-an-early-atari-building-in-north-sunnyvale-deals-widen/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

  9. My son gave me a gift of NES "Top Gun" yesterday.  My goal is to land the plane on the carrier.  I failed a few times, but now I've read the manual.  I won't let you down this time, Goose.

  10. OMG you guys!  I just got something spectacular.  A really old 12" Sony TV.  From the 1970's.  It's got a wood case!  It needs to be cleaned up.  But boy-o...is there any better way to play Atari than a really old Trinitron?  I'M PUMPED!

  11. For anyone who might be interested in winning a free Nintendo Switch system with a copy of New Super Lucky's Tale (plus a nifty physical reproduction of Lucky's book of ages from the game) the company behind the game, Playful Studios, is having a contest. A first name and email address is all you need to enter 😃 https://playfulstudios.com/new-super-luckys-tale?referral=5SR8ZU6&refSource=copy

  12. My Mom passed away in her sleep early this morning.

    I feel so lost.

  13. I never fail to get excited seeing 2600 Basketball while watching Airplane!

  14. 🎉Planning fun events in the Forums for the rest of the year! We may not have homebrews but we have fun!

  15. We watched "WarGames" (1983) last night.  It wasn't as dated as I thought it would be.  It has good acting, a story that keeps moving, and some really cool 80's arcade scenes.  Yes, the technology shown is really old (8" floppies!  A phone coupler modem!), but it doesn't distract at all.

  16. My local Gamestop has a pre-owned WiiU that I've had my eyes on for several weeks now, so I've decided to save up enough to buy it. I've got almost half the asking price of $129.99 now, and hope to have the other half by March.

I really want to get into the WiiU Virtual Console before Ninty eventually pulls the plug on it.

  17. Sadly, I have no TV again, so no console gaming for the foreseeable future.

  21. Ninja Golf should’ve been released on the Lynx

  22. Happy New Years, everybody!

  23.  I cannot believe it, just after my video the other day and I said I never find anything good in electronic recycling during holidays? Today I found a laptop! Guess someone got a new one for Christmas, in take, great condition, Silver 14 or 15' HP Pavilion! Of course could not log in, don't know specs yet but it came with WINDOWS 8 so already better than the old HP Pavilion I was playing with Linux. Will make a great secondary laptop. Looked it up and running recovery mode on it NOW.
