Atari 5200 Guy

I'm selling my SMS Model 2 locally.  I took pictures of it for the buyer.  Why not take a picture of the SMS Model 1 at the same time?  Here they both are for your viewing pleasure. 

SMS is a great system.  Highly recommended for anyone that enjoys the NES or 7800.

I never did much care for Mega Man. I'm more of a Castlevania guy to be honest.

Well, the latest in the string of bad luck with video games I've been having lately has struck again.

It would seem the laser inside my PS3 is starting to fail, as it now completely fails to read any dual-layer discs. I discovered the problem with a copy of Final Fantasy 13 I bought off eBay which was tested and working, but won't load on my console.

I checked the rest of my games, and sure enough, two more games I already own also won't load. 

It appears this is a common problem, and the only solution is to replace the entire Blu Ray disc reader. 

Have I mentioned before how much I hate opening consoles?

What's everyone's opinion on this game. I just picked it up I've never played it before.

I am having a terrible Atari Day, and not just because I don't have my systems. All day, my mom has been screaming at me for various things. She says I have no friends, she says I won't be successful in life, she says I'm a weirdo loser, she says I'm a lazy person with no goals or dreams in life, and various other hurtful things. She's been screaming at me almost non-stop for 5 hours. I have a splitting headache. Today's Saturday which means my dad isn't home for most of the day as he has to go work at the farmers' market. So I'm stuck with her. What's worse is that she's taking off on Monday.
I just wish there was some way out. I hate having to be around her.

Sorry to be a downer, but out here in Oregon, things are very bleak.  Fires throughout the state are devastating lives and homes and entire communities.  As I type this, the sky outside our home is an eerie orange.  Fires loom only miles away.  It's windy and dry and hot.  I'm terrified.  We are packing bags tonight in case the call comes to evacuate.  I've lived here my whole life, and never experienced anything like this.  Take care of yourselves, everybody.   

I'm playing "Golf" on the Virtual Boy.  It's fun!  A very effective use of 3D.

🎮 I used to dislike the 7800 Control Pad but ever since we started Pole Position II it's been really growing on me 

Currently trying Solar Star for the first time on an XEGS.

It's Saturday, so I cleaned my 2600 again. It's crazy how much dirt and dust builds up in those ridges after only 7 days.

🤔 If Nintendo wanted to blow people away they should release a new NES game. Real cart, limited run.

I've started playing 999 on DS. My kids recommended it. They say it's like a "pick your own adventure " book with puzzle portions in between story parts.
