Why?  Why? Why?  Why wasn't this the first version of Pac-Man the 2600 got?  This is AWESOME balls!!  I've got to get this on cart some how.  This is BEGGING to be played on real hardware.
    Here's my score so far.

And I am including one screenshot only to provide a clearer picture of the score.  It serves no other purpose.

Well, I'm always a sucker for anything that has that neon glow that TRON practically made standard.  So...

I've taken a real liking to Rocket League and its visuals are really outstanding.  And a few of the stadiums you can choose from look like they were ripped right out of TRON.  Impressive stuff.  This is my current desktop wallpaper.

For me it depends on the system.  On the 5200 its Pac-Man but I like Ms on there too.  The 7800 has the best port of Ms. Pac-Man, period.  There's no competition there.  Jr. Pac-Man on the A8 and 5200 are really good as would have been Super PAC on the 5200.
On a side note...wife and I have been playing a farm game.  In the game you can hunt down 100 gold nuggets for an easy $1M earning.  While hunting I ran into this building with a gold nugget on top...

Just completed GTA V last night...the main story anyway.  Multiple ending choices which I picked a good one.  I won't spoil it for others but Rockstar knocked it out of the park with this one.  I loved the game!  Adult oriented?  Definitely.  But there are tons of humor underneath.  You can do just about anything.  Rob banks and jewelry shops, play golf or tennis, go racing, fly planes...there's plenty to do.  I recommend for those not easily offended by adult only content.  Hands down the best in the series...until the next one comes along.
With that said there were a few glitches.  Mostly with cars.  Some would just drop out of the sky or pop up out of the ground.  One mission required obtaining a fire truck.  Once obtained you had to escape from the police.  I got stuck in a bidding spot behind the bus station and had to get another fire truck.  Other than that everything else was good.  I recommend a physical copy (360 version was $10 new) because of the physical map.

That Asteroids game wouldn't be very fun for me.  Where's the Thrust button?  Asteroids is only half a game if you can't fly around and run into things lol.

I can give one a home.  I already have a 4-switch woody.  If you have a Vader unit, working or not, I'd be interested.  I can fix whatever is broken or not working.  How many 2600's do you have (not being nosy but curious and you don't have to answer if you don't want to)?
I know, man, divorces suck.  Been through one.  Lost practically everything but it was a turning point where I managed to better myself if that makes sense.  Some times good things can come out of bad situations.

Decent ST setup?  A standard 520 can do a LOT.  The only thing to watch out for are ST games that state they are for STe only.  But for the most part it was mandatory that most ST programs were to work on the 520.  I'd recommend an STFM because 1):  floppy drive and power supply are built in, no bricks, 2): They offer RF TV out, standard STs don't.
It's nice to see a high score challenge for the ST.  It's easy to see all kinds of high scores for other Atari consoles...the STs don't seem to get as much attention.  As to why is beyond me.  No they are not as readily available as the A8s but they are solid systems with some good games here and there.  I do know that most of the games I have tried left a lot to be desired or just felt and played weird.  Then again it was a time when shareware was born and anyone with the tools and know how was attempting to make games.  Some good, some not so good.  I would have loved to see the likes of Apogee, ID, and Epic make games for the ST.  Could you imagine Doom on the ST?  How about Zone 66 which was a pain to get working on a decent PC setup because of its conventional memory requirements.
STs are nice no matter which model you have.  Easy to use but like an Apple on the price point.

It is possible to use a PC drive but there is an issue...Atari ST Floppy drives are set to work as Drive 0 and PC drives are set to work as Drive 1.  That's why PC floppy cables have that twist in them to match the drive.  Not sure if that is the only difference but I do know that the drive itself has a setting.  Not exactly sure if it is a jumper setting or a some other type of connection.

My main goal for 2019 is to repair and sell/gift several 2600s in the garage. I'm moving them from my house - which is being sold as part of my divorce - to my apartment and I just don't have the room.
Other than that, I want to try and play through a game a month after everything settles.

I guess I'm the weird one.  Those are cool devices but as hard and expensive the STs are I don't think I would have the heart to modify one.  I don't mind using floppies.  Besides, if I get games on disk for one and have a modified flash drive installed I wouldn't be able to use the disk the game came with   Awesome setups guys!

There's probably a lot more out there we don't even know yet.  Think of all the game console concepts that were announced using Linux that never made it past a prototype model...if they were lucky enough to make it that far.

How "violent" Night Trap was???  Really?  Mortal Kombat came out long before Night Trap ever did and it had more blood than Night Trap did.  I had both Sewer Shark (came with my Sega CD 2) and Night Trap.  Sadly I found both a bit bland.  Sewer Shark was definitely the more action-packed game.  Night Trap was a pain to try to keep up with.  I beat Sewer Shark but I never could last very long in Night Trap.
All honesty...the better Sega CD "video" game in my opinion was Road Avenger.  Loved the animation and opening sequence.
But, I'm curious...that makes three times the ColecoVision's shell was used for something.  It was something else before it was a ColecoVision but I have no clue as to what it was suppose to be.  Why Hasbro wanted to reuse that shell is beyond me.  It has a lot of wasted space.

I love this game!  There is a way to get a few extra bonus points.  Look at the flags in the upper right hand corner.  Collect the colored flags in the order that it shows and the flags will start to flash for a short while.  I think the flags are worth double while flashing.  I have managed to collect flags while they are flashing to lengthen the time the flags flash.
I remember playing this game at an arcade/go kart place my hometown use to have decades ago.  It was the only time I seen the arcade of Buggy Boy.  I never knew any form of home computer or console got this game until recently.  Unlike the arcade version, however, the ST version lacks other cars on the track to annoy you.  It's just you and the open road.  Controls are simple making this an easy game to pick up and play.  And you don't have to hold throttle down the entire time.  The throttle works the same way as 2600's Enduro.  Get it up to speed and let off.  It will maintain speed until you either hit something, slow down, or crash.  Fire button is used to shift gears.
Awesome score, RP!  I'll have to give it another go.

STs never had much of anything on cart.  A few things but mostly accessory stuff.  That's a good thing, too.  Yes they have cartridge ports but I believe it was a wasted port as no one seemed to use it.  Makes sense because disks were cheaper than carts but they were also very easy to pirate.

The only true cart device I know of was for some sort of MIDI use.  But anything cartridge for the ST is very rare.  There's no where really to turn on developing homebrewed games on cartridge because the boards are almost non-existent.  This is the only information I could find on it.

    I played.  84,740.

Made all 5 Legs.  Learned a few new tricks during this run.  One of my favorite ST games.  I just wish ST games were more abundant in the wild.  ST games are more scarce than anything predating it.
