RickR Posted May 24, 2015 Report Posted May 24, 2015 I made two, and they work! I used a Goodwill AV Cable (cut in half), and two 5-pin DIN connectors from ebay (about $5). It took a little bit of prep work, and some careful soldering....and BOOM. These will work with TI, Atari, or Commodore computers.
Dan Iacovelli Posted May 25, 2015 Report Posted May 25, 2015 pretty cool AVC Online:atari-video.club VGS website: http://videogamesummit.net
RickR Posted May 25, 2015 Author Report Posted May 25, 2015 Here are the instructions I used: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-TI-994a-Composite-Video-Cable/ The only change I would suggest is to buy DIN connectors that have a metal hood, and that screw together. The plastic covered ones are too fragile.
Rowsdower70 Posted May 25, 2015 Report Posted May 25, 2015 So how much are you charging per cable buddy? "For you - Rowsdower from the 70 - have been appointed Omnivisioner of the Game Grid." ~ Atari Adventure Square
RickR Posted May 25, 2015 Author Report Posted May 25, 2015 I'm too embarrassed to sell my sloppy soldering.
RickR Posted July 25, 2015 Author Report Posted July 25, 2015 Made a couple more. Tested on a C64 and worked on the first try!
RickR Posted July 26, 2015 Author Report Posted July 26, 2015 Those cables look really on point Thank you sir. My soldering is improving.
StormSurge Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 So impressive. I'd burn the house down if I ever attempted to solder anything.
RickR Posted August 6, 2015 Author Report Posted August 6, 2015 Just takes practice. And good eyes. And steady hands.
