Retro Play Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 I couldn't help notice some of the adult games released for the Atari 2600 back in the early 1980s. I have a new YouTube channel "Retro Play", so I thought I'd do some reviews and documentaries about some of these games. It amazes me that games like this where even created. Who would by them and why! https://youtu.be/ZsE5DAPKk8A https://youtu.be/yT8AYKGQ50c?list=PLUJQlysUAw9vOEKg6YK92sv3oynum8DwP
Rowsdower70 Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 Great to have you here! Guys, I've been bugging him for some time now to come hang out with us. I'm surprised he didn't block me on Facebook! Post often. "For you - Rowsdower from the 70 - have been appointed Omnivisioner of the Game Grid." ~ Atari Adventure Square
Retro Play Posted October 6, 2015 Author Report Posted October 6, 2015 The adult games are some of the worst games made for the Atari 2600 which makes me think, is E.T. the worst game ever made. Is it just bad timing or did this game (E.T.) become the final straw and bring down the video game industry in 1983! https://youtu.be/9zp4c_Kwn0E?list=PLUJQlysUAw9vOEKg6YK92sv3oynum8DwP
Rowsdower70 Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 It really was bad timing. I think anyone who played Atari 2600 in it's final years experienced FAR worse games than E.T. I actually don't mind E.T. I like the quest type games with endings! "For you - Rowsdower from the 70 - have been appointed Omnivisioner of the Game Grid." ~ Atari Adventure Square
Retro Play Posted October 6, 2015 Author Report Posted October 6, 2015 I agree, it was timing. And I also liked E.T. There are far crappier games such as some of the X-rated ones mentioned!
Retro Play Posted October 7, 2015 Author Report Posted October 7, 2015 Speaking of adult games for Atari 2600, I didn't expect to find a sequel to Bachelor Party called Bachelorette Party. In this game the rolls are reversed for both men and women, who knew! Here is a review about this game. https://youtu.be/zoaeNKUan4Q

Atari 5200 Guy Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 I guess anything to make a quick buck as to why X-Adult games made it to the 2600??? I seen Atari more as a family-oriented gaming system so I would have never bothered with these titles. I'm not against them its just that they would not have been my cup of tea so to speak.
jmjustin6 Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 where did you find them at? In my buddy's basement. Well actually thats the one box we havent found yet. We found the 2600 and all the accessories and we found the 5200. We just havent found the games for either yet

LeeJ07 Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 Rubber gloves? Why not a full HAZMAT suit? "I'd buy that for a dollar!" -Smash T.V.
