  2. Congratulations Sabertooth! Congratulations to @Sabertooth for becoming our Wrecking Crew Champion! I hope everyone here had a great time discovering Wrecking Crew on NES and how to win at this game. I've been curious about Wrecking Crew for years, but never understood the game until now. It just felt like a smash-em-up game of destruction. No jump, no Princess, no Donkey Kong, why are we even here? Turns out it's an amazing puzzle-platformer with some charm. I played halfway through this challenge before I even figured out how the doors worked! I'm glad this game turned out to be a hit. We had another huge turnout for this Challenge, you guys have been showing up lately and it's been a lot of fun to play with all of you here! @Sabertooth is our champion this challenge, taking the top spot on the scoreboard at 1st Place with 167,300 points. @RickR brought his A-Game and wasn't far behind to claim 2nd Place on the scoreboard with 152,300 Points. @btbfilms76 took a deep dive into Wrecking Crew scoring an impressive 141,600 points to take 3rd Place. @Dinobot711 @RadioPoultry @HDN @nosweargamer @Justin @James Campbell Jr. @MaliciousCarp @Atari Creep @TrekMD @Atari 5200 Guy @LinkYoungPS and @Gianna round out the board all with their best scores! Congratulations to @Sabertooth for his big win, and as always I'd like to encourage Sabertooth to post his new high score on the Scoreboard, and let's make sure this Challenge continues on! Also, to keep a running list of who's entered into BTB's Atari 7800 Paddle Controllers Giveaway Contest, so far the following Members have asked to be entered and are permanently enrolled through the rest of the contest: @RickR @Sabertooth @nosweargamer @TrekMD @socrates63. If you don't see your name listed and would like to enter to win the pair of 7800 Paddle Controllers, be sure to say "Hey BTB, enter me to win!" when posting your next high score! NOTE: Our next High Score Squad Challenge will be for the Atari 2600! Be there!

I just got my computer back from being serviced. New solid state hard drive, doubled the RAM, looking good! I need to install some of my programs and get up and running again. Then I'll be able to post the wrap-up and the new Squad Challenge. Will happen TODAY! Stay tuned!

  5. These go by so fast! I just get into a game and it's time to move on. I feel like I could keep playing Moon Patrol, Star Fox, Alex Kidd and others.

  7. I just figured that out yesterday! Hit the door with the hammer and they open for a few seconds. The bad guys chasing you will get sucked into the door and you’ll see their silhouettes stuck “behind the scenes”. This gives you a little time to get some wrecking work done without getting killed.
  8. Yes! 🙌 Looking forward you getting back to normal tonight. @RickR I completely agree! I didn’t know this going into choosing our game lineup for High Score Squad. I always saw this as a Mario-style game, and it always felt off I think because there’s no jump and no power ups. I thought it was just smashing things. Now that I’ve had a chance to play this with new eyes I see there’s a top-down strategy that makes this a Donkey Kong-style puzzle game! Now that I see this game differently I think it’s very fun and very challenging and a real overlooked gem of the early black box NES games, and that is exactly what I was hoping to find after going though this experience. I’m glad you’re all enjoying this game too, I thought it might be a disappointment.
  9. Made it to Phase 10, still working on my score! My hard drive crashed and I had to take my computer in for a new solid state hard drive and extra ram, so I haven’t been as active in the forums this week, I’ll be more active this week. High Score: 92,200
  10. 🧠 PRO-TIP: When posting scores to the Scoreboard, try to make them look like everybody else's

  15. I’m curious to know what you guys thought of Chip’s Challenge. How does it compare to other games on Atari Lynx? And NES puzzle games like The Adventures of LOLO?
  16. When was their Atari branded system shown?

We just wrapped up a rare Atari Lynx Squad Challenge, and now we're jumping back into the World of Nintendo with Wrecking Crew for the NES! I've never understood this game. That's why we're playing it for this challenge and give it another look. Is that Mario? Is it just a construction worker? What's with all the lockers? What the heck is going on with this game? Wrecking Crew is an early "Black Box" release for the Nintendo Entertainment System and has a ton of that "early NES" charm. Do you think Wrecking Crew a good game? I'd love to hear your thoughts! The jury is out on this game for me, I'll let you know what I think after the Squad Challenge. PDF Instructions are provided below. And a special WELCOME to all our new Members playing in this Squad Challenge! Good luck to everybody participating! NOTE: Another great Squad Challenge is right around the corner! We'll be playing an excellent game for the Atari 2600 Wrecking Crew.pdf
  19. Man, I really want to find out! I don't think I even made it 10% of the way through the game. I'd love to get to the end and see Chip get his girl! So glad to hear this! Stay tuned guys, I'm putting up another Squad Challenge tonight.
  20. Congratulations Everybody! Congratulations to everybody for making it into the Bit Busters Computer Club! I was delighted to pull out the Lynx and fire up Chip's Challenge again, I hope everyone here had a fun time taking another look at Atari Lynx and exploring the world of Chip's Challenge. I broke into the 300,000 points club to take the top spot on the scoreboard. @MaliciousCarp knocked it out of the park being the only other player to break the 100,000 ceiling with a score of 106,210, taking 2nd Place on the board. @Sabertooth brought his best with a score of 66,050 to take 3rd Place, just edging out @btbfilms76 who showed up with his A-Game at 63,090 points. @Atari Creep @RickR and @Gianna round out the board all with their best scores! Congratulations everyone on joining in this challenge and checking out one hell of a handheld. As I always encourage others to do, I'll be posting my new high score on the Scoreboard, and let's make sure this Challenge continues on! 21. Hi @Atari 5200 Guy That was intentional. The question about "Greed & Grifting" is not limited merely to Squad Challenges, but to all facets of the forum. Thanks 🙂 The last question asked about social media reminders having any bearing on participation in Wednesday Chat. Are you referring to the question above it? Some of these are going to be difficult to answer. Make your best choice with the options given.
