MalakZero reacted to Justin in Kay-Bee Memories
Thinking back to good times at Kay-Bee Toy Stores in the mall. My first Atari came from Sears, but almost every game I ever bought for Atari, Nintendo, all the way up through Dreamcast, most often came from Kay-Bee in our local mall. It's always fun to share these memories this time of year. Hope you guys have some fond Kay-Bee memories too!

Rowsdower , you are the man! Thanks so much. LOL to the Slot Racers booklet, I was hunting down the cart specifically for the artwork.

yeah a little solder & heat shrink would fix it right up I suppose
I would defer to someone looking to keep a 7800 as OEM as possible I think I have another square tip that is the same off another non- Atari supply kicking around someplace if leads weren't long enough on old one.

I can fix that. I'm not sure what I have to trade that you would want though.

MalakZero reacted to Ballblaɀer in Ballblaɀer's collection: 2600, 5200, Vectrex, and...
...I figure I'll start things off with a bang. Behold!
I love, love, love my 2800. Everything about it! Don't get me wrong, I love a woodgrain sixer like anyone else, but there's just something about this thing that grabs me by the shoulders and demands my attention:
It's got a great overall look, but there's also the little things, like the Atari plates on the controllers:
Got a 4-player game? Got you covered:
Sure, I can't play Space Shuttle on it very easily:
And I do wonder why my controllers weren't manufactured at the same time the console was made:
I mean, is it a Sears Video Arcade II with different plates? Well, yeah. But regardless -- this is beautiful technology to me, and it's easy for me to see why they modeled the 7800 on this design.
More to come!

Does anyone need a busted Atari 7800 power supply? Power comes to it but it keeps shorting out.

MalakZero reacted to nosweargamer in Vin Diesel - Street Sharks Toy Salesman!
Seriously, how did this escape me for so long?
I'm not a big fan of Vin Diesel or the Street Sharks, but putting them together turns out to be one of the best combinations since PB & J! And using a Troll TMNT figure is the icing on the cake. It reminds my of one of the 80's infomercials that came on after cartoons were over on Saturday mornings on stations that were to cheap to show sports or 10 year old movies.
Tune in next week when Vin showcases the amazing world of M.U.S.C.L.E. action figures as they take on Pirate Captain Papa Smurf!

MalakZero reacted to Zontar in Crystal Pepsi
The commercial for the new Crystal Pepsi is really really good. It's called "The 92nd Floor". It starts off with a janitor at Pepsi who is cleaning the elevator and finds a button to a secret 92nd floor. ("92" for 1992 when Crystal Pepsi is from) The elevator turns in to a sort of time machine that takes him to this hidden floor where it's still 1992. Even the video goes back to standard definition and the commercial looks like it was recorded from TV on VHS. Here it is:

MalakZero reacted to Zontar in Crystal Pepsi
Seems like Crystal Pepsi has made a resurgence lately. Lots of people talking about it. For some reason the idea of clear Pepsi seemed really magical at the time, even though it was basically just 7-Up or Sprite. I wonder how many actually drank it at the time? It only lasted from 1992-1993 but the commercial was memorable even today:
