  1. All of these are really cool titles. Electrocop would be fantastic to see on the system. Toki may be released if it is completed. Hopefully, it is done using POKEY sound.
  2. Oh yes, this is one nice piece of tech for the Lynx. I'm still organizing my rom files so I can find them more easily in the menu and sorting through some roms that don't work but after trying it out, it is something I'd recommend Lynx fans to get.
  3. Thanks for the welcome, Professor.
  4. Thank you and glad you liked the review. Trek is from Star Trek, as I'm a big fan. MD is from Medical Doctor.
  5. Thanks for the welcome, Justin! I've kept my handle the same so I'm easy to recognize so good to see you've seen me around. Gotta say that I love that Spock beaming out!
  6. The Lynx is a great system. To me there wasn't a real contender until the PSP came out. Klax and STUN Runner are definitive must-haves. If you can get your hands on Zaku, that's another one to get. Ms. Pac-Man is also an excellent port with some original mazes that take advantage of the entire width of the screen. If you have a chance, be sure the LCD replacement screen as it makes the games look bloody awesome!
  7. Those are some really nice finds! Love the SuperCharger stuff that you got! A boxed Party Mix?!?! I don't think I ever saw one before. That is just awesome. The other stuff was cool too. That TC controller is quite interesting with the ability to turn the fire button around. It's good you drove to pick this up rather than having it all shipped.
  8. Nice and your first artistic license with the tunes.
  9. Cool. I'm waiting for them to post the dates for this year to see if I can go.
  10. Is anyone planning to attend PRGE 2017? It doesn't seem the date for the event has been set yet. I went last year for the first time and am really thinking of attending again this year. It was fun!
  11. Thanks for the welcome. From reading around I can see that this is indeed a friendly place and devoid of people who love drama and insults. That's a good thing! It gets old reading threads that degenerate into stupid arguments for no reason.
  12. Well, that makes sense. If you don't have a TV with HDMI input then something like this is not particularly useful.
  13. Hmm, I have Chase the Chuckwagon, Pitfall II, Radar Lock, and River Raid II. Now sure how rare those are but I know Chase certainly is.
  14. Here is another great homebrew title by Bob DeCrescenzo and a perfect adaptation of, not one, but two arcade classics and with a spin in true 7800 fashion. As with Asteroids, these games offer more than just the one and two player alternating modes. Here we also have two player cooperative and competitive modes that make the games even more fun to play with friends. Why wait taking turns when you can compete at the same time or team up against the enemies? The games both capture the gameplay of the arcade superbly. The sound effects are also very faithful and there's even voice! So, what else can I say other than "chicken, flight like a robot!" Another must-have for any 7800 owner.
  15. The 5200 is a great console on its own right. I didn't get one until about 10 years ago but I have to say that have really enjoyed playing its games. In fact, it is impressive as the game library for the system is rather excellent. The majority of the games are very good to excellent. I know some people will hate on the system because of the controllers and the lack of self-centering but there are alternatives. I use with Wico controller to address that issue for games like Pac-Man that require more precise control. Overall, though, this is a fun system with a great library of games.
  16. Yep. I'll be keeping an eye on this. I'm quite curious.
  17. Ballblazer and Commando are two 7800 must-haves. The both use POKEY sound and they are excellent games.
  18. Thanks! Yep, in Miami. Been here for 25 years now. Thanks Darren! I'd joined sooner had I known!
  19. I will admit to be curious but I haven't bitten on the smartwatch idea. We'll see what happens when I see these.
  20. Thought I'd share this with the community. This is Luch Soft's first release for the Atari Lynx: Weltenshchlachter. The game can be ordered here: www.luchs-soft.de/shop . There was a initial run of 30 boxed carts that already sold out but this is not a limited release so anyone interested can still order it. The Story: You are the pilot of a fighter plane of the United Confederacies and mother ships are setting up in front of you to block your path. Break through the wall of defense and shoot at everything crossing your path, as well as the mother ship in order to get to the next level. Randomly generated variations of enemies won't permit you to get used to a specific stage, so only pure skill will get you anywhere! Reach the highest score possible within the time limit and destroy the attacking invaders in this stunning arcade shooter!
  21. One game that I think is pretty addicting is Locomotion. Certainly one I'd recommend in a snap. D2K was already mentioned and that is certainly another fantastic game. If you can get your hands on SuperChef Burgertime, I highly recommend it. Here is a video of the game so you can see it in action:
  22. Has anyone been following this? Mark your Calendars: February 8th (6am PST, 9am EST, 3pm CET) CLASSIC GAMES, NEW FORMAT! Created for people who love to game, in terms of tech, design and content; Gameband Atari Edition is a powerful smartwatch, like no other. We launch Gameband Atari Edition via Kickstarter on February 8!
  23. LOL The controllers look nice but the console reminds me of the first VCR's that were released! Go Zenith!
