TrekMD reacted to Smell Dawg in Post your latest/recent pickups!
After a previous comment about a Venture tag on a box, that Wards sticker was the first thing I noticed too 😆

TrekMD got a reaction from IntyLab in The Intellivision Archive
From the creator of the Atari Archive, we now get the Intellivision Archive. This is episode 1!
Today's video details the creation of the Mattel Intellivision, the most advanced game console of 1979 and one of the (relatively) big competitors to Atari's VCS console in the early 1980s. We'll also look at the four games that were sold alongside the console at its test launch: Las Vegas Poker and Blackjack, Armor Battle, ABPA Backgammon, and Electric Company Math Fun.

TrekMD reacted to peteym5 in Megaoids - Work In Progress for Atari 7800
Megaoids Atari 7800 Work in Progress for Octoboer 16, 2023. Changes were made with the routines that plot the asteroids and other sprites on the screen. This is intended to reduce the sprites flickering and slow downs when many sprites are on the screen at one time.
We were hoping to have Megaoids 7800 released sometime during the fall months of 2023. However, there were things that happened during the summer caused concerns about intellectual properties from my team and from others. Particularly, the discontinuing unlicensed ports being sold from a website, then later being sold to Atari. Therefor, some of our game designs needed to be altered. I also wanted to have the game perform better. We have been hard at work improving our unreleased games. I was concerned about releasing Megaoids for the 7800 with the way the Asteroids were flickering, as it may cause concerns and negative postings. Myself, Video61, and now others working tp bring the best games we could to market.

TrekMD reacted to Smell Dawg in Atari 2600+ Questions
Is there any truth in the grumblings about Atari using Stella without making a donation to Stella?

TrekMD got a reaction from Sabertooth in Atari 2600+ Questions
All, as some of you may know, I'm a contributor to Old School Gamer magazine. I'm currently writing an article looking at Berzerk Enhanced Edition and Berzerk Recharged for the magazine. We are going to be writing articles about the Atari 2600+, so I wanted to create a thread for any questions you may have about the system. I did test the system at PRGE and it does look and work nicely. I know some folks has questions about the emulator being used, legalities related to that, etc. So, just add your questions/concerns here and I will gather these for use in the magazine to try to get answers for everyone. Thank you!

TrekMD got a reaction from DegasElite in Jag games, aliexpress? Wait what?
I've never seen this page before. It may well be a scammer or just someone who makes repro carts.

Mail call -- I added seven titles to my 5200 collection. A few of these, I already had loose cartridges of but couldn't say no to cheap-ish box copies.

TrekMD got a reaction from Justin in Atari 7800 Forever
That is such a cool game! I got it for my 7800 at PRGE but I also saw it in the VCS store yesterday! Definitely cool to see Atari supporting homebrew developers in this way.
