Jinroh got a reaction from DegasElite in Metal Slug (Mission 1) port for Atari STE - Completed
Played it on my Mega STe a while back.
Blew me away! 😄 dml's Atari Game Tools do a great job along with your coding to make a great smooth experience I would have killed for on the ST back in the day. If only I had a three button pad to play it with. 😛
You guys are showing the Amiga fanboys our lovely ST is alive and kicking. ❤️

Tape up your glasses, grab your pocket protector, and slap this in your stocking.
Very cool, very Tron. 😄

Jinroh got a reaction from socrates63 in Have you ever purchased a game, just because of the box art?
It's hard for me to get my copy off the high shelf now, so these are not mine. 😛 I technically did not buy them just for the boxes, but had to keep them, and put them on display in my home. 😄

Oh neat it is like one of the kinetic sculptures that art guy Arthur Ganson makes.

Giga Pet just released the new interesting virtual pet if you feel like the 90s. Most so far have been rehashes of 90s pets. I was surprised to see Cryptids. Pretty unique idea. 🙂 Here.

Jinroh got a reaction from Justin in Jag games, aliexpress? Wait what?
I was gonna order one at the some point. I have ordered plenty of other repro games from Ali, and don't see why it would be a scam. Jag cart PCBs are pretty simple.

This and the Tube clock are neat. I do not understand the second one though. 😅

Jinroh reacted to peteym5 in 64 BIT Do the Math. I did. Here is the truth
I agree that Turbografx 16 is on par with Genesis and SNES, and it had a microprocessor that is derived from the 65C02. As I said before, clock speed of the system buss and CPU are more of a factor than the number of bits the CPU can handle. Along with the memory address space, the system. Something else that did help systems like the Genesis and later is the fact that the 68000 processors has more processor registers that allow program space reduction and increase speed. Less need to store registers in temporary memory locations.

Reminds me of Omega Race, and I do like Omega Race. I'll have to put an order for this in soon.

All good points Peter. 🙂
The Lynx and Turbografx are good examples of 8-bit CPUs not mattering. The graphics chips and clever design make them punch above their weight. The TG-16 was hitting games that were on par with the Genesis and SNES.

Another super cool game! Great work guys! 🥰
I love the explosion sprite. Tons of stuff flying around on the screen!
