I've gotten to meet Bill, De Kelley, Jimmy Doohan, Walter Koenig, George Takei, and Nichelle Nichols from the original series.  Sad to see how many of them have already died.  I never the opportunity to meet Leonard Nimoy.  Nichelle I got to meet several times and it was sad seeing her developing dementia as time progressed.  The last time I saw her on stage it was a convention in Miami and she got so confused answering questions.  I last saw Nichelle (and George) in 2019, at Florida Supercon.

If it's any consolation, I met the late James Doohan once. I was almost 13 years old and I gave him a greeting card. He shook my hand. He was giving autographs at the time at a convention. That was back in 1987. Too bad he eventually passed away. but, he was pretty ill in his old age. RIP, Scotty.

Whether you know him as Captain Kirk, TJ Hooker, or Denny Crane, Mr. Shatner is an inspiration to many.  I've met him more than once and he has been very nice to me each time.
Today Mr. Shatner turns 93!  Happy Bithday, Bill!

Cheers Paul. That sounds indeed like a heck of a folder. Thanks again for sharing your memories. If this one should surface one day, that would be awesome. Hopefully, it has survived. To this day, so little is known about the JagCD at all. I can't even seem to get to people who were in any way involved into the hardware development of that add-on. Well, maybe in the future, who knows ...

Edit: Well, to be honest, Leonard Tramiel would be an obvious choice in that regard, but I was lucky to get a few sentences from him at all regarding the Jaguar, so I'm not too confident asking about any CD stuff ... but who knows ...

I'm still reading it.. I did not know Psygnosis was working on a dev kit !
Best quote so far " If Atari had
understood that the games were the business model and
invested appropriately, then those hardware bugs could
have been found earlier, they could have had more launch
games, that‘s what they could have done differently.”

I just tried to ask Bruce Carso if the Jaguar CD development folder he showed me when I spent 3 weeks down there survived the recent house fire and he said he didn't remember it... He is getting old. I'll have to call him and trigger his memory.
It was a huge folder containing the entire development of the Jag CD, from initial sketches, emails between the plastic molding company ( somewhere down south, I believe ) and Phillips... just EVERYTHING! I sat on his couch and thumbed through it for a few hours. There were drop tests; It failed like 7 out of 10... they had a time of it.. there were emails regarding the software development timetable and lists of current titles and stages of their development... you name it..

I'll give him a call and find out what happened to it..

@Boris I absolutely love that you come out and say that upfront. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this gem of a book.

He sells several different couplers. His on-line store is https://8bitwidgets.com/ I didn't need his 5200 coupler, but I have purchased several of his other couplers:
    1. Turbo (for use with the Champ Games Homebrew: Turbo Arcade)
    2. Robotron
    3. Intellivision II
    4. Intellivision Flashback

I always like to watch these videos to see what other people consider impressive games on the 2600.  It's a cool list of 2600 games and he includes my most favorite version of Frogger.

This one was played so much on one station in the 70's that I could not listen to this song when I posted it, I also waited over 30 years before I listened to that radio station again.

This song was so overplayed and worn out I cringe when I hear this song and immediately change stations.

I can't think of any songs off the top of my head, but I do have a food dish -- chicken fried steak.
This was my go-to breakfast for who knows how long until my eldest son was old enough to share my food. Every time we went out for breakfast, that's what he wanted, so I ended up ordering it to share it with him since he wasn't big enough to eat it on his own. After a while, I got tired of it and ordered something else for myself. We took home the leftover chicken fried steak. My eldest is now 23, and I have yet to order chicken fried steak breakfast for myself.
Sorry for derailing this music thread with a food response 😂

This reminds me of when I first got married.  My wife and I were saving to buy a house.  We lived right next to a Fred Meyer store.  So we'd buy the 3 packs of Fred Meyer take/bake pizzas because they were cheap.  NOT like a Papa Murphy or what you might expect now, these were essentially about the same quality of frozen pizza only refrigerated.  Anyway, once we finally bought a house....NEVER AGAIN with those lousy cardboard pizzas!  🙂

Ha! We went through the same phase. I bought frozen pizza when they were on sale a couple of times and have not done it again. If I want cheap pizza now, I just go to Costco.

Both Hatari and Steem support PC controllers, just find the Joystick setting and select the Xbox controller that's plugged in.
Don't bother with MAME/MESS since the emulation there isn't good.  RetroArch does have a core for Hatari...
