  1. That TV I purchased turned out to have a 15" screen. The other LCD models I have are 13". So straight into the gaming cabinet it goes. Works great. What I have is an armoire that I have several gaming systems in. I can play, and then close it up when not in use. A great space saver.
  2. What's not to love? I still have HO and N gauge sets. Those tiny ones look really cool.
  3. Add to the list: King's Quest. I've started that and got stuck playing it. I'll get to the ones on your guys' list soon. I can't remember if King's Quest on PC used the mouse like the Amiga version does. Wasn't it text commands only? In any case, the Amiga version is great fun.
  4. Hogan's Alley as a high score squad is a great idea!
  5. Hogan's Alley and Duck Hunt are great lightgun games! I have a TV/VCR combo very similar to that one...the only CRT I still own. Happy 50th! My 50th is also this year. I'm looking forward to asking for senior discounts because I'm a cheap sob.

    Dauber's Want List

Got a Vectrex, eh? Nice! I don't know how you feel about multicarts, but the Sean Kelly cart is a must in my opinion. I recently acquired a second Vectrex. I was thinking about selling one, but I can't let go of the controller. I wonder if anyone would be interested in a Vectrex without a controller?
  7. I didn't have an NES at the time, but a friend did...and this game was incredible. My main feeling was a little bit of sadness. Why? Because ask most people my age their favorite 2600 game, and over 50% will say "Adventure". But Atari NEVER made another game like it. Zelda was that game. Its roots are clearly seen in "Adventure". I always consider it the spiritual successor to Atari Adventure. So, sadness in Atari never realizing what they had and building on it -- expanding it -- into something great like Zelda and the Zelda series.
  8. We need more people to sign up just to see the next group image he comes up with!
  9. No idea. Reminds me of the book "Ready Player One" where we're supposed to believe a kid can get a perfect score on Pac Man (that means getting every ghost with every power pellet and every fruit on every level). Yeah, right.
  10. Completely agree. It's a great plug and play, but the case is really hard to use. Best way to use it in my opinion, is to place it on the floor and sit criss-cross-applesauce.
  11. A bunch of SNES and NES games for trade (or sale):
  12. Is it ok to make requests? I really like the ArKay model videos. It's obvious that he's an absolute expert at putting them together and especially at painting. Incredible work. Me? I can't make a model without making a mess. It would be really neat to have an expert like ArKay put together a beginners guide to model building. How much glue to use, and how to apply. Any tips to get some good results for a a beginner.
  13. I think it's a great idea. Follow your instincts -- your passion will make it great. Survey filled out.
  14. That's right. If you get the brightness dial and viewing angle just right, it's fine.
  15. Just the sound board of a Game Gear, and it's really tough. Getting the old components off cleanly is really hard because everything is so small and close together.
  16. I'm flattered that you think of me! I certainly don't mind doing the easier stuff. But this one is really tough. I just don't have the time or guts to even do it for my own Lynx. Maybe when I retire.
  17. Looks normal to me. The only way out of that is a McWill screen upgrade. These machines are nearing 30 years of service. None of them will be perfect without mods.
  18. Ms. Pac Man is excellent. California Games is great (and a pretty easy one to find). Rygar is fantastic. There is a Lynx review thread here on the forums....http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/2175-a-lynx-collection Here's what I say: There aren't a lot of Lynx games, and finding them isn't easy. Therefore, just buy whatever you find for a decent price.
  19. I've gotten so far behind on the Toy Tomb videos. Going to try to catch up this weekend. They are always AWESOME (I said it like Willie).
  20. Oh my gosh this is fun. Here are my scores: Bobsled: 28.10 Ski Jump: 205.0 Speed Skating: 0:30.6 The Biathlon: 03:35
  21. "The King of Fighters 2002" is free, but only for the next 10 hours! https://www.gog.com/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=20180213_chinese_ny_sale_1&utm_term=EN
  22. Amiga 500 with expanded memory and a floppy emulator.
