  1. Incredible. I would guess it needs an 830 modem or the 850 interface and a Hayes modem to work. Or some dedicated way to connect to the Plato network. My best guess would be the 830 modem that had the phone cups....you would dial up the network and then the cartridge would do it's thing.
  2. I'm just catching up here. Will check out your podcast this weekend.
  3. From jmjustin6: Two PSP movies and a complete PSP game...plus a sweet bonus Millennium Falcon. THANKS!
  4. I can produce a PDF copy of one. May be a good backup solution until you find a real one.
  5. Oh man, that looks incredible! The sounds are fantastic. Do you happen to have a link to the purchasing details?
  6. The Amiga is awesome. It came with a GoTek drive in place of the floppy drive. A USB thumb drive contains hundreds of games that can be loaded via a menu. This is an Amiga 500 -- the composite out is in black and white only (I think they really wanted buyers to also purchase a monitor). I've ordered a little board that converts to composite, S-Video, or VGA from a nice fellow in Sweden. Once that arrives, I plan to explore the games a lot more.
  7. No idea. I guess I'd just want to avoid any potential lag that an adapter can introduce. The comment about signal quality is interesting. The original SNES system was designed for good old NTSC TV. The HDMI improvement....is it really that great given the source? In any case, I finally got a SNES Classic today (yay!) and I'll give it a shot on an HDTV before trying out an adapter (which I don't have yet) for a CRT.
  8. Somebody went wild on a Faygo bender it appears.
  9. I like this mod kit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-2600-7800-Composite-RCA-A-V-Audio-Video-Mod-Upgrade-Kit-FULLY-ASSEMBLED/311634197062?hash=item488ed87a46:g:oNQAAOSwnbZYHyux It's already built, and pretty easy to install. Unknown why removing the shielding would clean up the signal. That is strange.

  12. Opinions and recommendations please for an HDMI->Composite converter. For example, to play the SNES retro console (which only has HDMI out) on a CRT-TV. Thanks!
  13. Yeah..and you can use the old Zippo ones as templates for whatever you decide to put in there. You'll know the exact size and all.
  14. An R5 Atari cartridge from a nice fellow on Facebook.
  15. Nice! I was going to suggest a utility/razor knife (like a box cutter). But looks like you got it.
  16. Looks like a great idea and a fun project.
  17. I wish I was. I'll be down in LA in May and August...any events then?
  18. You guys think they'll release Discovery on DVD? Because I'd probably do that.
