  1. I guess I should also mention the great "Christmas Carol" homebrews for Intellivision: http://www.carolvsghost.com/ I have the ROM version, but Intellivision games don't emulate well (in my experience). I guess I should break down and buy real copies...but there goes my allowance.
  2. To be fair, it's a dang good link. Deserves two posts.
  3. Help a brother out...I'm looking to put together a list of holiday-themed games to play this season. Here's what I've come up with so far: "Christmas Carol" for the Nintendo DS -- I got this movie-based game from the junk box a while ago. I think I'll try to get through the whole game. Skiing for Atari 2600. Winter Games for 7800. Intellivision Ice Trek (Starbuck66's post reminded me of this one). Elf Bowling for PC. Cracks me up after all these years. Fewer toys, higher wages. I just learned that there's an "Elf-The Movie" GBA game. I don't have it, but I love the movie. I'm going to look for it.
  4. I have the game and here's what I recall. It looks great, but it's hard as heck to control. I could not make it past the second screen.
  5. I don't know, but you got a great deal.
  6. Oh, and I apologize in advance for my terrible wrapping skills. RickR is good at many things, but sadly, wrapping gifts is not one of them.
  7. Oh and just to be clear....casting from Chromium does work from most pages. It's just that xfinity/comcast page that won't. I blame them. They just don't seem open to letting people use the service they paid for with a little freedom.
  8. I couldn't figure out if actual Chrome was available. It isn't in the "software center". Going to the Chrome web page brings up a Debian version that won't install. And also running a bunch of command line options to get it didn't work either. Herein lies the problem with Linux -- the one I've experienced before. Some things are just not possible due to all the different flavors of the OS. Stick to the script and everything is ok, but try to do something a little different, and it feels like you are out in the wilderness on your own.
  9. My secret Santa box is being shipped out today. I'm very excited!
  10. OK, I've come across something I can't do from Mint Linux. You can't "cast" (to a Chromecast) from the Chromium browser from the comcast web site. I know...pretty obscure thing to do. But that's how I've gotten out of paying their extra monthly fee for extra cable boxes. Just watch TV in a browser and cast to a large TV. The Xfinity app requires Windows 7+ or MaxOS X +.
  11. I'm not sure I understand what 320 resolution is.... please educate me.
  12. 14420. I often forget how great this game is for 2600.
  13. I'll bet we've all heard this story: That Mark Hammill's face got messed up in a car crash after filming Star Wars. So much so that they added the Wampa scene at the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back to help explain it. But is it really true? Interesting article here about it: https://www.ranker.com/list/the-story-behind-mark-hamills-face/zack-howe?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=comicspost&utm_campaign=Mark_Hamills_Face_IMAGE I've watched the original trilogy dozens (or more) times...and in retrospect, does Mark Hammill really look any different (other than just older)? Probably not. My feeling is that even the slightest blemish was a really big deal for Hollywood actors, so they made a big fuss about it. So I'd call it true, but probably overblown and unnecessary. What do you think?
  14. Exactly. Thank YOU for putting this on and doing it right.
  15. Sweet! I was the first to download your new rompack for flashback portable. Thanks, AF. Question: Do you name the file? Or is that done by someone else on AA? My suggestion would be to give it a better name. Instead of Game.zip, maybe FlashbackPortableRomSet20171206.zip.
  16. These are great. Thank you for all your hard work on this.
  17. Make sure to check out the "For Trade" forum here on Atari.io. I've got a bunch of extra games for trade (hint, I also let them go cheap if I know you are going to keep and play them instead of reselling). It's an easy way to build your collection back up.
  18. That ain't long winded -- share some more! I think we all love talking Atari stuff here. I've got a couple of Xonox double enders too: Ghost Manor / Spike's Peak and Artillery Duel / Chuck Norris Super Kicks. Kind of interesting how they have different combinations of the same games. Plus I'm pretty sure they made single game carts too.
  19. Agree that this was a fun one. Nice job nsg!
  20. I have an extra xegs. Let's talk after Christmas.
  21. It takes a ton of work to put on a show like this, I assure you.
