  1. I remember when it came out.   Now for full disclosure, I'm not a fan of Pepsi at all....but crystal Pepsi took it to a new level of Eeeewwwwwww.

Still, it was better than "New" Coke.

    THIS was my jam:

  2. I wish I could add to this topic, but unfortunately the Amiga was always just out of reach for me growing up.   By the time I was in high school, I had so many friends who were Apple junkies, and thought the Apple II G/S was the bee's knees.    I knew the Amiga would be a better machine if I could just get my paws on one!

I can still remember the first time I saw graphic renderings from the Amiga.  I was blown away by the realism.   I specifically remember the picture of King Tut's sarcophagus.

  3. Wow! I'd be interested in burgertime, Mogul Manic, the dust cover, the driving controllers and maybe some paperwork and/or the epyx joystick.

Let me know if I got anything you want!

Still got a bunch of sealed games if interested.

Id definitely be interested in Dark Chambers, shoot me a PM!

  4. With the RetroVGS "Team" behind it...what could go wrong? ^_^ Power goes in............

I will believe it when I see it, so far all we got from Mike and the RetroVGS Team is promises, renders, lot's of hype. To be clear Uhm, there is no "involvement" from Coleco, it is just a name now licensed out to the RetroVGS guys lol. They made a deal with River West Brands (a brand acquisition and enterprise development company ) to use the name. It literally is just the name and branding. They acquire and hold IP's for the primary purpose of licensing them, everything else is left up to the licensee.

Coming off as if "COLECO" is behind them when in fact there is no Coleco other than an IP and a name does not seem to be starting off on the right foot with me, whatever, we'll see I guess. I would love to be proven wrong and see something actually come of this BUT I suspect a repeat of the RetroVGS fiasco  ;)  :pile:

I wish I could disagree with you, but I feel the same way.

It's almost like they just grabbed whatever name they could get their hands on that had some retro market relevance and slapped the name on it.

  5. I really didn't like Kay-Bee toys, but let me explain why:

When I was younger, we had a WONDERFUL toy store called Toys By Roy.  (It was a Southern Mall small franchise thing)   It was a beautiful, old school toy store.  Glass display cases up front a'la the Christmas Story with elaborate displays.   Glass cases inside as well with amazing die cast toy cars, modeling gear, model rockets, Dungeons & Dragons stuff, and all the electronic games, gizmos, and video games.    As a kid, THAT was the toy store...and Kay-Bee bought them out.   Kay-Bee wasn't really bad, it was just more modern commercialization that reminded me of a smaller Toys R Us.  They had more kids toys for sure, but it wasn't as magical ever again.   Gone forever was that type of toy store.

This is the only image I can find of Toys By Roy:

  6. What are you willing to take for an Atari game, Row? That Boxing, Venture, Stargate, Kangaroo, and Jungle Hunt all have my undivided attention. Mousetrap, too.

Still have Mario 2?   I wouldn't mind having that if you aren't too attached.  I could give you probably 2 or 3 titles for that.
