We had to get out before the rain, so we headed to the local botanical garden. I like the otherworldly cactus section.

WHOA cool, I'm just now seeing this! Late last night I finished some back end "club" work on the site and before bed took out the Club VCS Zine and read through it again. I never expected a print edition would materialize so quickly and look so good. VCS players are extremely lucky to receive this kind of incredible support. I always think of the Amico guys out there who must feel so devastated about where things are right now, and then I look at the VCS community and think how fortunate we are to have this.

I think this simple post on today's announcement of the Atari 400 has been my most viewed/liked post ever on X. Over 6k views, 130 likes, tons of comments and 24 reposts. Who knew the 400 MINI would elicit such excitement? It's bizarre.

It is weird! Perhaps there's a huge untapped market for the 8-bit's. It's been an ignored platform for such a long time.

A newly released study by the Video Game History Foundation show that only 13 percent of classic games from 4 decades are available commercially due to a variety of issues. It's a fascinating read.

ICYMI: Polymega and Atari are collaborating on a 2600/7800 module that will be compatible with the VCS. They are also bringing the full functionality of Polymega to the VCS.
Discuss in ClubVCS!

It's great to see that Atari seems to be thriving and is becoming a viable company unlike the Amico people.

Did you see the sweet prize that we're giving away for this series of the Club VCS Recharged Squad Challenge? It might seem silly, but the Atari Speaker Hats are surprisingly functional! 😉
A winner will be announced between now and mid-August! Series Four kicks off tomorrow and runs through December 31st!

RIP, George A. Romero! Actually RIP may be inappropriate for the man that invented the zombie film genre. May you rise to feast upon our flesh!

There is a thread on AA stating the Keith Robinson of Intellivision has passed. I haven't been able to find a news account to verify. If true, this marks the passing of a retro gaming legend and a very nice guy. Here's the discussion: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/266706-keith-robinson-passed-away/?do=findComment&comment=3784483
