  1. 51,750 with the Modern Controller. Well behind @Joe and @Mockduckbut a personal best.
  2. 150 on the Atari Lynx Collection 2 via an Evercade VS. Rough start. 🙂
  3. Fast Break (1989, Accolade) for MS-DOS is this week's Flashback Friday game. Now in the store for $6.99.
  4. Thanks for checking it out. Yes, that's the only discernable visual difference. PS4 the leading edge of the web is slightly larger. Otherwise, they play and feel the same with a gamepad. Using the Classic Controller gives the VCS version a different feel altogether.
  5. Very cool @TrekMD! Please let us know what you think about Asteroite.
  6. Honestly, they're starting to lose me. I'm going to hang in because I've come this far but the story arc is feeling disjointed.
  7. Let's hope they took down the body of the Borg Queen. I'd hate for that kid to run into that when he explores the bridge.
  8. Some insight into Atari's strategy with the XP line and their recent acquisition of MobyGames.

  9. My hunch is that Rios will stay to fight the good fight in the 21st Century.
  10. Via GameSpot, here are the limited edition carts for the first 3 games:
  11. This is what I love about the Recharged games. It really taps into that classic Atari "play a few rounds and pop in another cart" vibe! Are you submitting one of the Centipede scores @BallistikCoffeeBoy ? If so, please take a screen of the score achieved or provide the score in the post and time stamp from the video so we know where to find it.
  12. You're welcome @BallistikCoffeeBoy! It's fun stuff! Feel free to post game specific creator content either in that game's topic or in the ClubVCS Creator Space pinned topic.
  13. For the most part, I'm pretty happy with it. It does what it's supposed to and the community build updates Stella and removes rom limits from the micro sd. Overall, it's a great way to play 2600 games in HD for $70 with a controller.
  14. PSA: VCS Onyx Base Unit is on sale at gamestop for $149. Controllers are $29ea. The All-In Onyx is still $399.

This is the best deal we've seen so far on the VCS.

The new controllers are already sold out.  I wonder how long the Onyx Base system will last at this price?

      "You snooze, you lose".

I actually decided "no" upon sleeping on it.  I'm in such a downsizing mode right now, it just didn't feel like the right thing for me.  Please keep us all informed if they come back in stock though, as I may change my mind.  It was a close decision!

Hopefully, you get a bunch more new club members with the new purchasers.

  15. 39,060. This time playing on a Retron 77 with a good old CX-40.
  16. They should have made this change on April Fools.
  17. The 2001 Director's Edition was excellent and made Motion Picture one of my favorites in the series. Looking forward to seeing the 4K restoration.
  18. I'm at level 36. It's a fun game and easy to pick up but some challenges are tough. A controller thrower for sure.
  19. PSA: It's been reported that some are experiencing issues with being able to access the game since the last update. It seems to be an issue with the Classic Joystick and possibly mouse controls. Issue: After launch you will see "Press to Play" with no "A" button icon. Button presses will not register. You will not be able to play the game. Fix: 1) From the VCS System Menu. navigate to "Storage." 2) Go to "Other - Saved Data" 3) Find the Centipede: Recharged file and delete the data. 4) Launch the game with the Modern Controller and it should work as normal. Important Note: This fix will clear your local save data, meaning that local leaderboard scores will be cleared. Online leaderboards are not affected. The fix has worked for me personally but YMMV. As always, exercise caution. If you don't want to lose your local save data, hold out for an update. The issues have been reported to Atari. Hopefully they can identify the issue and push a fix.
  20. Another sports title is up for Flashback Fridays! This week it's 4th & Inches, originally by Accolade with the MS-DOS port handled by Sculpted Software.
  21. Folks are posting cancelation confirmation emails from Game Stop. The console is now listed "Unavailable" on the Game Stop website. Previously it was "sold out."
  22. Check out this excellent edition of the Atari Weekly Podcast with @BHG_Gaming . This week he interviewed the team behind Atari's new IP Kombinera!
