Awesome! Looking forward to see what you think of it @Justin! It's one of my favorites implementations of the Classic. The rotary works great!

  6. Probably my favorite episode so far. It was just plain fun!
  7. Yeah, online leaderboards have been working on the VCS since the big March update was pushed. Is yours not loading?
  8. From last week's Atari Age mailing: Gravitic Mines, the new gravity flyer from homebrew heros Reboot for the Jaguar! The 16 worlds in this game are just gorgeous! Cart, box, manual and overlay are first rate! Oh, and the game is great too... 😉 Knight Guy in Low Res World: Castle Days for the 7800. A fun 8-bit homebrew adventure with 99 levels from Vladimir Zúñiga.
  9. Another update from Tony Barnes! Can't wait!

This was a fun read.  Thanks for sharing.

I've been horrible at finding time to play with my VCS.  Too much real life taking up time.  But I will try!  Gravitar and Missile Command are on my list to purchase.

      You're welcome @RickR ! It was a fun read!

Gravitar and Missile Command are both great games but Gravitar gives you more depth and gameplay.

If you like rolling platformers, I'd also keep an eye on BPM Boy!  It's a timed exclusive to the VCS from one of the devs behind the "Strike" series.

  11. He's pretty speedy on the VCS Vault with the analog controller.
  12. First, that's a great score with a keyboard! Just WOW! Second, I'm using the VCS Modern Controller for this challenge. The analog stick works very well to control Bentley. The controller itself works very well. It's a bit light but otherwise is good quality. You can switch to "X BOX Mode" for use on a PC or Xbox console, so some additional functionality there.
  13. It would be interesting to see what the arrangement was for both the Coleco and Parker Bros titles (Q*bert). The Nintendo titles were also on 7800. I wonder if that was under the same transferred license?
  14. Donut Dodo is a new arcade game from Pixel Games, developer of Sir Lovelot and Sigi: A Fart for Melusina! Originally planned for release last winter, the developer was struck with COVID and had a lengthy recovery. He is reportedly on the mend and making progress toward the game's Steam release. A VCS version is in the works. The game itself is classic arcade action. It's been described as reminiscent of games like Donkey Kong, Burger Time and Popeye. @Willie! of Arcade USA takes a look at the Steam version of the game. Check it out!
  15. Release Date: June 3, 2022 Retail: $4.99 Developer(s): PIXEL GAMES Publisher: PIXEL GAMES Official Site Synopsis : Tough as nails and no continues, do you have what it takes? Donut Dodo is a light-hearted arcade game, reminiscent of the beloved classics from the early 80's that we still cherish to this very day. You play as Baker Billy Burns, who has to run, jump, and climb to outwit Donut Dodo and his bunch of clueless minions. Your goal is to collect all donuts in each level, in the best possible time! Will you top the high score table today? Come and join the fun!
  16. Welcome to the official topic for Donut Dodo
  17. 163,110 Via Atari VCS Vault Vol. 1 using the modern controller.
  18. Been waiting for this one for a while!Screenshot_20220521-080555_Instagram~2.jpg

  19. Playing around with ideas for Series 2 Recharged Squad Challenge buttons.

  20. Here's a trailer of the game in action. I've played it on the VCS and it's the right balance of challenge and charm. It would be great to play solo, with a partner or child.
  21. Just released to the VCS store: Catty & Batty!

A short and charming indie title for fans of games like Lemmings. Discuss at ClubVCS:

  22. You can play Crystal Castles on the VCS as long as it's the arcade version with the default settings. I'll have to try the secrets. That is strange.
  23. You can map VCS Vault controls to either the analog thumbsticks or d-pad on the Modern Controller (or third party gamepad). Or use the joystick.
