  1. This lost me in the first few episodes of Season 1. I just didn't care for the humor. I've heard anecdotally that many people enjoy it more than the rebooted Trek shows from Paramount+ so maybe I'm missing something. I imagine it is at least better than Picard Season 2. 😅
  2. More rocking & rolling with BPM Boy. Levels 5-8.
  3. It's not. It will launch on Steam too.
  4. Here's a recent update sent to backers. It looks like the game is being pushed to Q1 2023.
  5. Picked up BPM Boy, the new roller platformer from indie dev Retro Ninja, aka Tony Barnes, for the modern Atari VCS. This is a timed VCS exclusive and a bit of an homage to Marble Madness, Super Monkey Ball and the like. Here's a casual look at the first 4 levels for those curious:
  6. Casual play of levels 1-4 of BPM Boy for those curious about the game.
  7. Right?! Love the metalheads at the arcade and Rob Halford being superimposed on Pole Position.
  8. My understanding is that's the unique identifier for each player. You can actually change your name but not the number.
  9. Yeah, the price tag is admittedly a bit steep. These are online only. It was a bit of an impulse splurge for me to be honest. I saw it in my IG feed and decided to get it. But its only $63 in 1989 money! 😅
  10. I just received the Igloo Playmate KoolTunes cooler. This is a bluetooth take on the 1989 original. It has a rechargeable battery, 10 hour charge and better speakers. Not a "true" retro pick-up but a "cool" update to a classic design!
  11. I'm at the lava level... I think its called "Some Like It Hot." Its a remix of the second level with lava monsters. Its been a pretty fun game so far.
  12. Is this you on the leaderboards @Joe?
  13. Yes, it's the return button on the Classic. I find it hard to get to in a pinch though.
  14. You guys are really killing it! I mean FREEWHEEL BURNING! 🏎️
  15. Who else is playing BPM Boy? If you like "roller" games like Marble Madness, Super Monkey Ball, and de Blob, it's well worth checking out! Some notes: - Great music and a fun DJ Battle theme! - Intuitive controls (Modern Controller) - Leaderboard support! - 34 Levels - Earned XP unlocks later levels - Replaying levels is necessary to earn XP by improving time, finding the "Fuji" secrets and collecting all of the notes - Difficulty ramps up pretty quickly. The early levels teach you how to play. Later levels add enemies and new gameplay mechanics.
  16. Here's an early look at BPM Boy! from @Davpa of VCS Connect!
  17. PSA: BPM Boy! releases today on the VCS.  A timed VCS exclusive, this roller-platformer from veteran dev Tony Barnes takes inspiration from games like Marble Madness and Super Monkey Ball.

Be sure to check it out and join the discussion at ClubVCS!

  18. My thoughts exactly! They are 6 for 6!
  19. LRG Blog Post. https://limitedrungames.com/blogs/news/the-fun-is-back-oh-yessiree Also, Atari socials acknowledged the extension from 6/7 to 6/12 for preorders.
  20. 70,500 on a 7800 with CX-78 gamepad. I'm not sure that I have a better run in me. Your runs must have been pretty flawless @Marco1019 @Justin
  21. I saw that too. I'm guessing one is Adventure - which was pulled after a day following its announcement. Also, they really need better coordination between social media and ops. Series 1 is still available and the deadline was extended to June 12. The website was updated.
  22. Here's a new trailer for BPM Boy! It's great to see a timed exclusive coming to the VCS!
  23. 63,800. Got a few quick games in at lunch using EMU7800 and VCS Modern Controller.
