I don't think you had BOTH difficulty switches set to "B"

When the left difficulty is set to "a" and the computer misses he loses some health like in the arcade version.

Yeah a 7800 crossed my mind as well .... in this game , if right difficulty on"b" YOU can re-press the button to launch a new bomb.  , (if on "a" you have to wait till bomb hits the ground)

If left difficulty on "b" the computer  will NOT lose health if they miss blocks (their health meter will blip but will ALWAYS be equal to your health status)

On my 7800 both difficulty switches were to the left position

Yes, very soon. Wednesday Night Atari Chat will be returning!
The forums are up but not all the back end stuff has come online yet. Expect some glitches to pop up from time to time through the end of the year. The forums are working pretty well right now so we're off to a good start.

Is there a chat functionality that can be built in here ?
I'm glad things a bit more intuitive since when I first logged in :P

LOL, thanks to Rick, I always put in Space Invaders when playing on the 7800. Which I am doing right now.

They are unlabeled and confusing as hell on the 7800.  And they can be different based on the motherboard used!

The easiest way to know for sure is to use a Space Invaders cart and play a 2 player game.  Big base = A, small base = B.

As promised, here is a picture of my great find from earlier today.

It's a Coleco Telstar Classic Pong console, CIB, with instruction manual and original power cord. I got the whole thing for just $20.
This is the first Pong Console in my collection.
No idea yet if it actually works, though.

I've only seen that in pictures, that isn't at Canobie Lake Park is it ? (the idea to pay admission to a park to only play pinball though kind of dissuades me from going)

the Goodwill's 'round here for most gaming stuff have them bagged & tagged with "Goodwill tech certified" label & pehaps a bit overpriced IMO

they DO have a decent return policy so I suppose that may have something to do with the items being checked somehow. but I'd prefer the "curb & gutter warranty"  ..... once it hits the curb, you got-'er

OK. Here you go. They printed out just a tad small...but I'm not going to fuss about it. I like this a lot. They look fine, but it would be obvious to anyone that looks closely that these are not original. It's just plain paper. And they'll come off easy (I just used a glue stick) if I ever find something better.

I left my home-made marquee....it looks a little cleaner and it gives it that personal touch.

Thanks so much! This makes me so happy. I really am pleased to have one of these in nice working condition.
