My grandmother has had this for a few years & it was heartbreaking. However, she's older & not that it makes it any less of a tragedy, you kind of expect bad things to happen to people when they get older, know what I mean?In the past year, my favorite uncle, who would be anyone's favorite uncle, has fallen victim to this disease. He's far too young (at least he seems to be) and is such an incredible human being, it is devastating. I'm honored to have become the first employee this past year of a non-profit he founded in 1987 and it saddens me to no end that he can't see the good work that is being done. My point is that Alzheimers has hit home for me big time in recent years & I'd love to become more involved in the cause. Thank you Chris for leading the way & helping to inspire me to do more.
