📺 Formally setting up my Sony Trinitron TV stand w/ my 8-Bit systems at the new house. I'll post pics when it's done.

I can't wait to see it!
Let's see that wiring. I'm always interested to see how others set up their gaming systems. Example, here's the RF switchbox I've been using. It does a nice job, but I sure do have a lot less RF systems than I used to. Only two at the moment. At one point, it was maxed out. But a lot of systems sold, some of them had the composite mod, and now...only two.

🤔 I wonder who the first company will be that creates a mobile app for hiring private security in 24 hours or less

🕹️ We're a champion of original Atari games because we genuinely like these games. We love these games for what they are the way we love Drive-In B-movies

🖖 Science fiction has always been the frontier for legitimate future predictions. Technology is what changes us more than anything else. Imagining what could be created, and what the effects are on culture and behavior, thats where genuine insight is found.

🍄 I think the Mario character looks better in the 2600 version than in the NES. He's bigger, he has more detail. It's a less iconic sprite but he's big and has a larger Bonk-esq head.

🎈 Working hard to keep the timeline positive lately. Lots of people feeling uncertain, Atari I/O will always be a positive place to escape to

“We’ll be best friends forever, wont we, Luigi?” The greatest stories always begin with humble beginnings. This is one of the most prized items from my collection. All great adventures have to begin somewhere.
Mario & Luigi started their adventures together here in these socketed EPROMS. Not many people in this world get to say they have a “prototype Mario” anything, for any system. How do I even have this? It should be in the Smithsonian. I count myself among the very fortunate few to have something this special, where it all began.

🕹 Quarantine’s had me watching a lot of @btbfilms76 on YouTube and finding new reasons to appreciate the Atari 7800. At its heart is the soul of the 2600 and so much untapped potential.
It’s a shame the people who bought Atari just as the 7800 was about to be released didn’t see it as a priority or invest in further development of the system and develop games that would push the boundaries of what this insane machine could really do.
Releasing an updated system bundle by 1987 also would’ve helped, something that included two of the 7800’s D-Pad Controllers, the light gun, and an exciting game or two that would really make Atari shine in the minds of gamers everywhere.
