I'm a little underwhelmed that this doesn't have a cartridge port the way the 2600+ does. I've been hoping to see Atari develop an "Atari XE+" with a 4/5 or 3/5 scale Atari XE that incorporates two cartridge ports into the top of the machine - one for Atari 8-Bit Computer cartridges, and the other for Atari 5200 cartridges. I would love that.
Otherwise this looks like a nice product and I hope Atari does well with it.

Hot on the heels of the 2600+, PLAION announces the Atari 400 Mini.
Retro Games Ltd. and PLAION are happy to announce The 400 Mini, a half-sized modern replica of the classic Atari 400.
The 400 Mini is fitted with the CXSTICK offering an enhanced and updated version of the classic CX40 Atari joystick boasting an additional seven seamlessly integrated function buttons and USB connectivity.
Modern features have been enabled with The 400 Mini such as the ability to side-load games via a USB stick, Rewind and save states for games, HDMI output at 50 or 60hz, and emulation support for the whole 8-bit Atari range from the 400 to the 800XL, and the Atari 5200 home console.
The system is preloaded with 25 retro games for enjoyment right out of the box.
The 400 Mini is launching on March 28 for $119.

I wish. I have a patch for all of the games (see below) that I have personally qualified for. I've purchased them over the years, since 2008.
    Crackpots
    Enduro
    Grand Prix
    Kaboom
    Keystone Kapers
    Pitfall!
    River Raid
    Seaquest
These three are my favorites, because I was able to have the developers sign the boxes during PRGE 2019.

@Cryptocoffee13 I also want to recommend A.R.T.I. It's not the cheapest homebrew, but it's worth it. In my opinion it's better than H.E.R.O. and I love the cut scenes with the old man and the airplane. This is a nicely done game on the level of what I'd like to see Atari release for the 7800 and 2600+

Justin got a reaction from MaximumRD in Crazy about LOOM, the Magical Adventure Game! CRT Pixels Only
@CrossBow I was fortunate to get my copy of Loom about 25 years ago from Turbo Zone Direct. The Duo had some truly amazing games and many were completely overlooked for years. I overlooked some of them myself in 1993 because I was so excited for games like Club Drive to come out on the Jaguar that I missed some other great things going on at the time.
If you're just looking for fun games to be able to play, PCE Works offers new repops and box sets of many of these hard to find titles, at good prices. They're very well done and it's essentially like getting a brand new game. They keep their stock updated here:

I wouldn't mind owning that version but I believe it commands a pretty high price these days just like most PCE/TG-16 stuff does.

I was just playing Lucas Art's LOOM on TurboDuo this weekend! Very cool example of this type of early '90s computer adventure game that lead to greats such as Myst.
