  2. I've updated my trade list: http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/2624-starbuck-games-for-trade/
  3. Got all of this for 14.50 at a local game shop last night... they normally sell Atari games for 2 bucks each when they have them, and with a discount card I get an additional 25% off.
  4. Same! 7th level with no pepper seems impossible...
  5. Just curious if you have a CV with that version of Ladybug? If so, how does the 2600 version stack up to that one? I’m with you on Video Pinball > Midnight Magic too. What don’t you like about Pitfall II?
  6. I might have to drop Moon Patrol from my top 10; I just got a copy for my 5200 and it’s awesome!
  7. I paid the scalpers on eBay... turns out my wife REALLY wanted one, and I didn’t realize it on release day. We were in the middle of moving, and I didn’t have time to go hop in line somewhere early in the morning. We certainly didn’t need it or fit into the target market, I think she just liked the mini look, and the SNES is her favorite system. Overall it seems about the same as the NES Classic, the game selection is good, etc. Controllers aren’t quite the real thing, but close, and better than most of the clone controllers you can get these days. I still feel like control in SMW isn’t as tight as it is on the real SNES; you get a little bit more drift when changing direction. I LOVE the save states feature, especially on games like DKC, where the save points are a million freaking levels apart. Really makes playing those games more enjoyable. I’m going to get a travel case for it too. I think one strong point for these systems is if we want to take them with us to visit relatives or on vacation. They are so much more portable than dragging real hardware around, but close enough to having real hardware that you don’t notice the difference. I also like the limited game selection. I think a Pi setup is superior, but you can really get overwhelmed with game selection. This gives you a nice limited greatest hits catalog that’s easy to pick a game from and play.
  8. Solar Jetman is such an awesome and underrated game, was glad to see it made it into the JB! I still have my original copy I got when I was 11; it’s one of my favorite NES games!
  9. I haven’t seen a good mid range upscaler... it seems like the only options are the cheap ones or the wallet busting Framemeister.
  10. These are the items I threw in: This was a fun junk box, thanks for allowing me to participate!
  11. One nice thing about the Retron 5 is you can play ROMS on it. It’s a bit involved because you have to patch the ROMS as IPS files, but a nice bonus that might make it worth it. It also supports wireless controllers from 8bitdo, not sure if that’s something of interest? If you’re really just looking for NES though might be worth the extra coin to go with a Retro USB AVS? http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=78&osCsid=c33eaf88789db4469698bfa25479d136
  12. Star Control II! Not much reason to play it these days with The Ur-Quran masters being a free download, but man that was my favorite game for that system.
  13. Current list: 1. Adventure 2. Pitfall II 3. HERO 4. Moon Patrol 5. Q-Bert 6. Missile Command 7. Kaboom 8. Tunnel Runner 9. Tutenkham 10. Haunted House Kid list 1. Berserk 2. Pitfall 3. River Raid 4. Asteroids 5. Vanguard 6. Ms Pac Man 7. Moon Patrol 8. Star Trek: SOS 9. Video Pinball 10. Miniature Golf
  14. And companies wonder why people still cling to physical media... I don't expect these services to be around forever, but on the other hand they need to maintain a way for people to download content that they already paid for, or provide a way to backup/restore that content if the console fails, etc.
  15. Received the box yesterday; here are the items I picked: I'm very excited to finally have a copy of Miner 2049er for CV! My in-laws have a copy that I play at their place occasionally, but it will be a nice add to my collection. I also now have no excuse to not beat Ninja Gaiden II or the original Final Fantasy... Box will be on its way to TrekMD this afternoon!
  16. Thanks for sharing Rick! I'm going to be facing this dilemma myself as I'm going to have my 7800 and Intellivision both connected to my CRT in my downstairs living room soon, and it would be nice to have them both connected and usable. Luckily our CV is modded for composite so I won't face that scenario with it. Slightly off topic but somewhat relevant: What do you guys do about power transformers for all the systems? Do you just have them plugged into a power strip, then switch the strip on/off when done using? I want to have everything plugged in so I don't have to plug/unplug systems all the time, but I don't want them all receiving constant power as I want to save wear and tear on the transformers.
  17. Just wanted to check in and let everyone know I'm back from vacation and close to being moved, so I should be ok right where I'm at on the list. Looks like this is an exciting box so far, can't wait!
  18. Not my favorite, but the "Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit" part gets stuck in my head! https://youtu.be/JhykAI-F5T4 Not a big fan of Food Rocks either... but I think overall it was better than Kitchen Kabaret (not saying much) https://youtu.be/vl1uBlVN0C4 Overall Soarin was a welcome upgrade for this area!
  19. More power to you man, I am happy with you hogging all the fun on this challenge :-)
