Well have not done a video for ages BUT here is something quick I threw together for today. just a quick daily check in our recycling bin because tomorrow evening we may goet rainfall and flooding the likes we have not had in like 200 years. City is basically under State of Emergency due to predicted rainfall for tonight and tomorrow : See HERE
Kelowna posted May 10, 2017 by KelownaNow Staff State of Emergency: Mayor of Kelowna asks residents to pull together for possible one in 200 year event. Flooding throughout the Central Okanagan has resulted in a number of Evacuation Alerts, Orders and road closures. The City of Kelowna, City of West Kelowna and the Fintry Delta in the Regional District of Central Okanagan declared a state of emergency on Saturday, May 6, 2017 due to flooding from various creeks spilling their banks in the Central Okanagan. With warm temperatures, rising freezing levels and 25-40 mm of rain forecast for Thursday, May 11, 2017 to Sunday May 14, 2017, rising water levels throughout the valley are a real concern.
"Forecasts released on Monday could be predicting a one in 200-year event," said Shaun Reimer, Section Head, Public Safety and Protection. Mayor Colin Basran in the video below has encouraged Kelowna residents to prepare for rising water levels in local creeks and streams and to work together to help friends, family and neighbours during this flooding event."
HONESTLY I hope they are wrong, I do not really expect to see floods appearing down our streets, at least I am hoping but who knows? When we first moved here years ago that summer we sustained the worst Fires that summer and thought "Geez is this normal here?" it wasn't really it was just timing. Anyway lights have flickered so there is also chance of power outages (which could be the worst part lol) so let's just hope it does not end up as bad as they suggest.
Anyway, with all that said here is my quick silly little video, done mostly just to let my Youtube subscribers know I am at least still alive.

UPDATE ! Fortunately flooding in my area has not happened and currently it is more sunny than cloudy! Crisis averted! We are out of the danger. Surrounding cities / towns sadly had a much worse time.
