  1. Thanks much appreciated. One thing I love about this forum is the special vibe and feeling of "community" no other site gives me. With that I would like to show THESE videos I just came across and want to share, now I did NOT create this particular video but it is by a user Daniel Bienvenu aka Newcoleco a amazing ColecoVision Homebrew programmer. We do not communicate much these days but back when I started on Youtube and he was more active on youtube and forums in general he often shouted me out, I reviewed one of his games and we would shout each other out back and forth. He certainly made some surprise videos that always amazed me he took the time to do just as a favour to me. Flashback 2009, my favourite times on Youtube and back when it felt more like a "community" making friends etc. I was even part of Newcoleco's "Memorable Youtube Moments of 2009", this was early on before I had many subscribers yet people who appreciated my humble videos reached out. !!!!! NOTE THE VIDEO DOES NOT ALLOW EMBEDDING SO ONCE YOU CLICK IT YOU WILL SEE THE OPTION TO WATCH IT ON YOUTUBE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyIlbAJQLD0 In THIS one he created an ANIMATION from my Tag Response Blooper Video (The phone rang to deliver a package as I was filming) to me this was one of the nicest and collect things a fellow youtuber ever created for me. He spent 10 hours on it! Notice the Colecovision to the right and the "phone" I pick up is the controller. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWM2fUFSDkA
  2. Welcome aboard dauber. We are small but growing and most important awesome retro community here. Have a look through our various threads and get to know us I am sure you will soon feel right at home.
  3. If AA does not host the ROM likely the publisher simply never made one available so short of scoring a cart on Ebay for a crazy mark up you are probably out of luck. As it states on AA "Santa Simon was only available in cartridge form for a limited time in the AtariAge Store during our 2006 holiday sale." Sadly not all homebrew publisher choose to make just a ROM available.
  4. Welcome to the Zone....or something.......it's cool here!
  5. Back in 2010 I revealed the one impression I do to my Youtube subscribers, THIS IS THAT VIDEO http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/39-maximumrds-youtube-videos/?do=findComment&comment=26960

  6. 6 years ago I did a video which was a tribute to Jim Henson / Kermit the Frog. Not sure I shared with you guys before but for a laugh here is that video. I was considering doing a brand new Kermit Song Impression soon, maybe for Christmas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIIZc34vfv8
  7. I love Vacuum fluorescent display! From clock radios and early watches and calculators to of course a variety of early handheld and portable video games it certainly stands out! I found it interesting how they manged to make playable and fun games within the limitations of the VFD technology. My understanding though is the tech was more difficult and costly to produce which is why it was later replaced with LCD. They were certainly interesting for their time though and the bright and vibrant color is what really attracted me.
  8. Sadly, no I did not have my camera with me, both old and new don't hold the charge they once did and I do not always have them plugged in and ready as I mentioned I literally checked it as an after thought. I did make a video yesterday when I first came up stairs etc, but it was using my older camera (and by good I mean well at least better than my other one ) but after I calmed down and re-watched it today I thought it better to just do over. This video was better for sure though I admit my attempt to power it up and my disappointment when it did not work initially might have been entertaining. But yeah, I was certainly surprised, the majority of residence here are 50+ so I find a lot of weird things but thinking now we might have (or had ) someone more like me here somewhere ? I am certainly convinced to try and ave a peek in more often. For all my little gadgets and accessories I been finding perfectly good AA and AAA batteries! Even rechargeable, enough to keep things going without me having to pick any up, also universal remotes, I will never need another!

  14. Heh well we already had our Canadian Thanksgiving but still, I am thankful for this site for the awesome supportive people, for the type of community that is different from others as far as the whole feeling and general vibe we have here. Thankful to have a place where we can all appreciate and discuss whatever classic gaming or computing platform that we grew up with or have nostalgia for without it sinking into "platform wars" or which console or computer was "better" endlessly that seems to happen in every other group or forums that are into our hobby. Thankful for the people who took a chance to check us out and stuck around long enough to "get" what sets us apart lastly very thankful I met Justin and finally decided to become part of the team here, I do not admin or moderate any other place (well besides some Facebook groups I created) but I am glad took a chance to be a moderator here and have no regrets.
  15. You should do a video on it? Would love to see in action.
  16. I know it is a rare pretty much failed console. Oddly, there is actually a flashcart for it! Here is a video (not mine) DESCRIPTION "Published on Mar 3, 2016 The unsucessful console Amstrad GX4000 gets a new life with the new flashcart C4CPC. With it, not only You can run the few games released for this obscure console but you can run homebrew games and especially you can run CPC games (both 464 and 6128) converted for it. Note that nowadays is difficult to buy games for this console because they are not common and usually they are expensive." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hhwVmYpwoQ
  17. An event indeed! Everyone, please wish our own JUSTIN a HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! Thanks for giving us this great site to form our community!

Awesome to have you posting gaming videos again!

  19. Thanks to a generous subscriber I actually have a new video to share! Unboxing some classic gaming donations from Jason Rotbergs ! If you want to skip my pre-unboxing ramblings feel free to skip to around the 6 minute mark (still plenty of rambling during the presentation though!)
  20. Really, even if you go with an AtGames handheld to add more games on SD card you are STILL dealing with ROMS and there has been incompatibilities noted. On the upside Flomojo on Atariage is maintaining a compatibility list for the atgames 2600 portable. Offering a ZIP file of testing and working roms as well. Here is the post / thread on Atariage. You DO NOT need to be signed in to view the thread or download the ZIP (at least from my test) http://atariage.com/forums/topic/258970-atari-flashback-portable-compatibility-list/ OK Atari Creep I will shutup now, not my intention to hijack your video thread but hope my links and comments may be useful to you buddy. Keep on doing what you do and being YOU bud!
  21. You are more than welcome for the feedback, my own video cameras at this point are pretty flakely and unreliable adding to a few reasons why I don't do my own videos as much so I might as well spend that time watching others videos and giving feedback lol. At the very least as far as the ROMS go pretty much all you need, organized and very good selection For when you do decide to dabble in 2600 emulation my friend. RomHunters archive! I don't think you will find a more arganized and well rounded and represented collection . Keep these links for future reference or for anyone else interested.
