I really want that one because I'm a complete sucker for those kinds of games. I haven't been able to find an NTSC one for a decent price, though.
But, I agree; it should've been RoadBlasters. I'm sure Fatal Run is pretty decent, judging from the videos I've seen, but it's got some big shoes to fill when comparing it to RoadBlasters. I actually think the gameplay in RoadBlasters is much more refined than people give it credit for...

I think it's just best to start a thread, don't see why not, but I'm not seeing the Jaguar forums over here very active at all sadly. Everyone else seems to be in either one of the Facebook groups, AA or just keeps their distance.

Most of their included demos have a lot of great info and the Rb+ tutorial is included but I feel like that Doger demo may be a little bit much for most and easier or more simple tutorials need to be made that help someone from scratch instead of a ton of graphic objects and lines of code but I think the community is definitely there to help anyone who asks, same goes for here.

I'm just about 2 years into Rb+ and have finally started making some really good progress especially after many feedback related issues with some minor buggies that would cause a hiccup here or there. For what it is, it's rather amazing. I could have never done what I'm doing otherwise so I'm truly grateful it exists.

I've got a mini game to release soon and a sort of fun tech demo to show as well that I'm almost done with (hopefully end of weekend if not sooner). With that said I think it would be fun to do some quick 5-minute video tutorials on how to program easy stuff for the Jaguar using Rb+, maybe time will permit such a thing after the holidays. =)

Atari's 'Graphics Gems' collection of source codes from the magazine/articles of that time. One of which they actually adapted to work with the Jaguar:

Just a small FYI.  I updated the post with online resources selling DD and HD floppies.  If you use them please give feedback.  Thanks!

The only thing to keep in mind is if there was any sort of copy protection schemes used they may still be present.  So you may still need original code disks, instructions, or any other printed materials used to get pass the copy protection.
You are very welcome.  I highly recommend setting up a dedicated Windows machine just for doing this.  And I would suggest keeping it offline to avoid hacks, attacks, and other mishaps.
And, RickR is right.  The only thing separating DD and HD disks are a single hole.  Cover the hole up on an HD disk and it will be a DD disk.  The disk material in both types of disks are identical.  Brings back old memories of needing a HD disk and only having DD disks.  Drill a hole a viola!  Instant HD disks!
I will add a tip in the tutorial.

I do believe the Jaguar has more secrets than Santa's bag of goodies.  Always cool to see more stuff turn up about the console's history.

It amazes me how the Jaguar and the 7800 were both programmed on ST computers.  I wonder what Atari would have used for the 7800 if it remained under Warner's ownership?  I don't think the ST would have been thought about nor exist.

It would be nice to see it in an original case, 3D printed, maybe. I can see why he did it this way: cost-effectiveness. It was cheaper to do it with an existing game chassis than by engineering a brand new one. This definitely is a fantastic modification for the Lynx. Maybe, he can make a Lynx-to-TV console that can utilize other types of media. That would be the "Cat's Meow" (pun intended). I would not mind buying this type of console. I would love to see my Lynx games played on TV.

I also have a ROM scanner myself. It is a different model, not from Marjac. You use it (I am sure you know this) to plug in multiple cartridges. Then, they would all fit in the main cartridge port of the A2600. With a push of a button, switch between games and never have to take them out as much from the main port. Handy item, but I hear that they can be buggy. But, they do work. The only other system that I have seen a ROM scanner for was for the NES at Toys 'R' Us. I was about thirteen years old then. That ROM scanner for the NES is extremely rare, by the way.

The inspiration behind the mod was the original Atari console, the Atari 2600. [Jared’s] console mod, called the Atari Lynx 2600, utilizes a four-switch 2600 case as an enclosure. However, since the Atari 2600 joystick did not offer enough button real estate an NES controller was used instead. A male-male serial cable serves as the new controller cord, while all the buttons on the face of the Lynx are hardwired to a female DB9 port. As an added touch a custom 3D printed cartridge adapter was incorporated into the original 2600 cartridge slot.
Since the Lynx did not natively support video out, and intermediary device known as the McWill LCD mod kit was used. The McWill LCD mod is typically done in order to modernize the Atari Lynx’s screen with hardware from this decade, but [Jared] used the kit in order to get VGA video output from the Lynx. Not satisfied with just VGA [Jared] also included a VGA to HDMI scaler inside to ensure a wider compatibility with current displays. Fittingly the HDMI port was placed on the back of the 2600 enclosure where the RF video used to come from.   Bonus points should go to [Jared] for going the extra mile and creating a custom console box to accompany the console mod. The entirety of the project was detailed in a three-part video series, but you can watch the console in action in part 2 below:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsCzxh4wcdg

I follow him on Instagram and watched this build all the way through. Very impressive build! I've always wanted to do this since the Lynx was new but didn't have the technical skill to do it on my own. Would love to see a "1989" version of this in a 7800 shell painted "Lynx Grey" from the Lynx 1

DegasElite got a reaction from Clint Thompson in Atari Jaguar console review from Classic Game Room
The Jaguar's controller pad is reminiscent of the A5200 joystick to me because of the keypad. I have AVP and Tempest 2000, and I agree. They are great games. I have about 20+ games for the Jaguar. Some homebrew, most from Atari and third-party developers. I like most of the games myself. Granted, there are some games that have room for improvement. But, games like T2K, AVP, Dragon's Lair, Myst, for example, I think look and play well. I loved AVP. A friend of mine once played the game and was astounded by the graphics and sound. She was blown away by it. I was, too. But, seriously, the Jaguar definitely does have the horsepower, but it is a beast to program. At least, that is what I have heard from other people. I would not mind trying to program on it, but it is a learning curve from what I understand. Well, with assembly code anyway. Sure there are apps like Raptor BASIC+, for example. I have that as well. It is a good piece of programming software. I would try to study it more, but I need to work on my time management before that is a feasibility. Great machine, it just needed more finesse. That's my opinion anyway. That is indicative of ANY game platform, though. Thanks for letting me share, folks.

Well, it would certainly revolutionize train travel in the US. We need higher speed rail. They have it in Europe, Japan, and China, of course. Why not the US? Re-tooling the US rail system would be expensive, granted, but it would create needed jobs, needed improvements to the infrastructure, reduce traffic congestion (at least theoretically), and, if they are electric, theoretically would also reduce pollution. In my opinion, anyway. But, it definitely would create jobs. The US rail system is over 100 years old. It needs an upgrade. At least, that is what I believe. In Minnesota, there is talk of a high-speed rail system coming up called the Northern Lights Express (NLX). It would go from Saint Paul, MN to Duluth, MN (the state's third-largest city), and then up to Two Harbors, MN. The train could go up to speeds of 120 MPH. I understand that the train system in Japan is going to be much faster. but, a bullet-like train in Minnesota? I am game, since I live near Saint Paul anyway. I would ride it, if and when it gets built. Thanks for letting me share.

LOL...I still get called "ma'am" on the phone when talking to customer service centers dealing with billing issues.  Hilarious.

In my area, the 5200 was known but not well received.  The 2600 was where all the action was.  Then there was like 2 years of nothing before the NES arrived.  Our area didn't get anything video game related until 1987 when the NES mysteriously showed up without any advertising.  Anything Atari was usually found at yard sales from people clearing out their garages, attics, closets, etc.  Even then most of what was found was 2600 or 2600 related.  And cheap!  I think the most I spent on an yard sale Atari was $20.  Mom and I bought them when we found them off and on.  Most of the time the controllers were trashed and the consoles didn't play too well or were missing switches...but we still picked them up.  I think at one point I had 12 2600 consoles with a few for parts because they wouldn't do much of anything.  I'm not exactly sure what happened to those because Mom and I were constantly moving from place to place for a while.  I think they got put in storage...and after a short while Mom neglected to keep up the storage payments.

My area never got anything Atari again until long after the company was sold.  Atari Jaguar stuff turned up at a computer store with a bad rep.  I traded off my fairly new AMD K6-2 500 Mhz tower setup for a Jaguar. CD, and a bunch of games.  All of it was new in boxes but the boxes were rather rough.  I don't regret doing it but I do regret selling off all that Jaguar stuff.  I mean, I had DOOM that played better than my PC version less music and I didn't have to fangdangle the computer settings to play it.  Myst was very fun on the Jaguar and the only port of the game I actually completed.  Jaguar got some good games but I felt it could have done more.  It's a shame no well-known third-parties ever jumped on or licensed their good games to be ported to it.  Anything would have helped.

Atari remains my favorite because ... well ... it's Atari.  But other consoles in my collection battle for top-dog mostly because of the sentimental memories tied up with them as well.  Every game machine and game I had before leaving high school came from either my Mother or Grandmother.  They were gifts.  And that little NES kept me off the streets, out of trouble, and more.  I might not have done my homework always but I wasn't out causing trouble either.  Atari encouraged my wanting to read and the NES even more with the Nintendo Power magazines.  It's hard for me to not like the other non-Atari consoles as much because they were there growing up with me when, at times, it seemed like no one else was.  Mom would sometimes come and play but often times her asthma kept her from doing too much at once.

I love the 2600, 7800, Lynx, and Jaguar consoles but the 5200 is where it all started for me.  And those were very difficult to find in the wild then...and more so now.  I keep it close to my heart.  Every Atari console I have I sometimes just sit and stare at them, thinking back on the memories that put them in my life in the first place and those involved I no longer have.

I have every A7800 game on the list on the right that was sent from Atari that you received, Justin, in your picture. In fact, I have over fifty A7800 games in my collection, with some still with the boxes. I have had an Atari collection, starting with the A2600, for over thirty-six years now. We started our collection back in 1982, back when I was going to be eight that year, for USD$129.00 in 1982 dollars. Now, over 300 games later for five platforms, I could not be happier. I can relate to the part where people call you "ma'am". They did that to me when I was twelve. I will be forty-four next month. Thanks for sharing, Justin.
