I was wondering if anyone here has tried these out?  They look like a fantastic use of the Pro-Line Joystick model.

I know that anything coming from Lance will be top-notch. I have been dealing with him since 1998 without any issues. I do wonder how these controllers slipped by me? I can say that the Grip Stick is a much needed accessory for the ProSystem.

These are a work of art. The buttons are clicky and responsive and the proline mold provides the right grip.....buy all of them...

I agree!  Have a pair and they are amazing, responsive, and feel great in the hand. A must buy for sure. 7800 Ave review coming soon.

They are great paddles, from what I understand. Amazing piece of engineering, I must say.

There are a few folks over 100 at the assisted living facility where my mom lives.  I think the oldest is a 105 year old man, and he's still walking and sharp.  It's a joy to say hello and chat with those folks.

thanks for the nice compliment, i am the one who engineered the CX-30 Evolved paddle controllers.
 
they are out right now, i need to get more built. they work well, and are a bit faster than the original paddle controller. i was almost out of the original paddle controllers, when i thought about all of the Atari 7800 controllers i had left, and what to do with them? then i got a idea to convert them into dual-button paddle controllers.
 
it took a while to find the right pots to use, you cannot use the original ones very well, they work, but just barely, it's tough to get them just right.
 
then there was the glue problem. but in the end, it all came together, and voila! i engineered them, patent pending and all.
 
i bought 1000s of proline joysticks from Atari, that were customer returns from Atari. at one time i thought "what am i going to do with all these?" today with the original paddle controllers disappearing, the CX-30 evolved selling, best electronics gold upgrades, my 7800 grip stick upgrade which requires a proline joystick cable, and another project i am looking at that will require more proline parts, i can see the end coming much much sooner than i ever thought.

I just ordered a pair of these myself. Great to hear they're getting great reviews!

I paid about $150 for a boxed Atari Jaguar about 5 years ago...
 

I can see why they were priced like that. Wasn't it only 250,000 Jaguars that were made? Plus, only 10,000 CD units were made for it, from my recollection. Very rare stuff. Absurd yes, but I can see it nonetheless.

I am just going by hearsay about the availability. I could be wrong.

I always like to imagine what it would have been like if a game like this had been released in the early 80's.  It would have been mind-blowing.  And it is now too.

This looks nearly as good as the Atari 7800 version, Champ Games has done a tremendous job 🙌

I had a grandfather who passed away from Alzheimer's last year at the age of 88. It's tough. I did see him before he died. He was in good spirits and was in his right mind at the time. He even recognized me. But, sadly, it progressed, but he died peacefully. In his sleep. Thanks for letting me share. :O)

Actually, Yars' Revenge was a port of the arcade game Star Castle, which could not have been done on the A2600 in the 1980s. It was still great, but Star Castle was finished as a homebrew years later for the A2600. Star Castle A2600 is also great. I like the action and graphics, and the sound is spectacular, too.

It might have been impossible then in the 1980s, but with current technology I can see it now. Interesting stuff. :O)
