HDN got a reaction from socrates63 in Post your latest/recent pickups!
I recently completed the Pokémon trilogy! I already caught ‘em all, but it’s nice to finally HAVE ’em all! Blue and Yellow were gifts from my friend Alex, but my OCD told me to get Red to finish the trilogy. I don’t mind it since Red’s the game that I had on my 3DS as a kid so it’s very nostalgic for me.

HDN got a reaction from socrates63 in Atari 2600 or Atari 7800 - which one do you use for gaming?
I prefer the 2600, but for practicality reasons, I’ve only used my 7800 for the past six months or so. My 2600 has been disconnected and is currently chilling on a display shelf. I kind of miss it so I think I’ll bring it out again soon, even though it’s pretty impractical when I could use the 7800 instead.

It’s been TOO long!
And yeah, I agree about the 2600. Something about flipping those big, metal switches makes me feel happy inside. The console’s design itself is also so darn cool, unless it’s a Junior I guess, but even that’s still an Atari at the end of the day.

HDN got a reaction from RobertLM78 in Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3, or Super Mario World? What’s your favorite Super Mario sequel
SMB2 is sooo good, but SMW is just a smudge better, so I had to vote for it. I love the Lost Levels too, but to be honest, I’ve never been the biggest fan of SMB3.

Don't forget that beautiful wood finish. Now that is 70's.

Hi @HDN! I haven't seen you around in a while.
Yea but nothing beats using an original 2600 😁

HDN got a reaction from Justin in BTB’s Atari 7800 Paddle Controllers Giveaway
I think @Justin might have included Task Force as a cruel joke, as that game is nothing else but a reskinned version of my archnemesis Gangster Alley! Ugh! The horror! I HATE GANGSTER ALLEY!
I'm just messing around, and I think that was a very nice surprise for @Sabertooth. Very nice of Justin to include that. Congratulations on the paddles.
But Gangster Alley? BLECH!

HDN got a reaction from Justin in Do you have any pets?
Oh, have I not introduced my pet yet? Well, here he is. This is Fluff, our betta fish.
See, Fluff works as a name as he’s not fluffy at all.
Bettas are interesting fish. You can actually train them to do things. They’re very unique. Fluff can’t do anything too terribly fancy (so far), but we love him just the same. He will come up to greet you from the bottom of his bowl and look you in the face with his weird (but cute) fish eyes.

3,608. I barely got the Ensign patch on Starmaster. Far from my best score on this mode. Of all the games like this on the system (Star Ship, Star Raiders, Star Voyager, etc.), Starmaster is easily my favorite. Strangely, Star Ship is second. I'd love to get my hands on that cart someday. More specifically Outer Space because it sounds cooler.

HDN got a reaction from Justin in Activision Patch-worthy Scores of Atari I/O
WHOOPS! I misread it as 3,600! Well, here ya go. Still a far cry from my previous high score of 8,158, but 5,369 is good enough for now.
I've been trying for Crackpots recently. It's hard and I haven't gotten within 20,000 points of the patch, but it's super fun and I'm definitely improving. I think I'm going to take a break from Crackpots and try for Kaboom or a higher level on Starmaster. I have a better shot at those for now, but expect a Crackpot soon!
