Yes, Shamus and his throwing knifes! I love Synapse games, and Shamus was one of the first two or three Atari games that I bought.

Staying with Atari 8-bit. This is from one of my favorite publishers.

Forbidden Forest?
And the bigger question... did Cosmi ever make anything good for the Atari? I always loved the art and images on the packaging. I can't remember which ones, but I bought a couple of Cosmi games back in the day, and they were horrible. I think even back then that their prices were in line with budget titles. I could be wrong about that.

Probably not as cutting edge of a rocker as when he started out, but many of today's Korean rockers stand on YB's shoulders. He has become very successful and enjoys mainstream appeal in Korea. He has released English version of this particular popular song which I believe should be the anthem of any new generation of young people growing up in this world. It looks like it even got included in a Rocksmith release.

I'm a big fan of the 2600 homebrew Juno First, and it has a killer rockin' catchy title screen music--the best 2600 music that I've heard. Give it a listen.

So... who's the audience for this poll? Based on the title of the poll "Checking into the great TI User poll of 2021" it's for TI enthusiasts?
EDIT: oh I see. This was posted in the TI forum. Duh

@Airshack I completely agree that the native 5200 controllers are problematic on multiple levels. As clunky as the ikonsgr adapter is, it works very well, and I saw it as only a minor inconvenience that opened up a great console and its library. For sure, it is a barrier to entry into the world of the SuperSystem. Whether it great or minor hindrance is up to the individual's motivation 🙂
@RickR I also thought about putting the ikonsgr adapter in a case and actually ordered two to have one as a spare (or for player 2).
Good news is that a new controller alternative surfaced. After much lobbying from customers, Retro-game-boyz recently designed a digital 5200 controller, and I got one. I haven't actually used it yet but it feels good, just like his 2600/7800 controllers that I have. It has a connector to allow the use of the native 5200 controller for keypad functionality (shown in photo below). He also makes a matching keypad that mounts on the controller base near where the cable out. You can see the bracket for either left or right side positioning. I ordered the keypad a couple of days ago. The joystick and keypad combo goes for $110 according to his website. Compared to what a Best Electronics refurbished 5200 controller costs, that's a very reasonable price, I think. This is definitely a step up from the ikonsgr adapter in terms of both price and function.
I know Edladdin is working on a 5200 controller, and I have no doubts it will be beautiful and magnificent as Ed's controller are. I believe he will release it soon? It'll be good to see another 5200 controller option on the market.

Wing Commander
Loved playing Wing Commander on the PC. It was the game that finally got me to invest in a sound card (I went with the Sound Blaster over adLib). Looking back now, I can’t believe I played games with the internal speaker.

👏 @nosweargamer 👏
Archon was one of first games I played on my Atari 800. It was amazing as there was nothing like it.

Sorry, this probably wasn't a great one. I was trying too hard to be clever, and I've only had a couple hours of sleep. 😛
Kool-Aid Man was indeed right. You should go next!
It was good 🙂 I just never envisioned an angry Kool-Aid Man before—always seemed a jovial type 😆

Red, fill, cool, straw... reminds me of Kool-Aid Man but I'm pretty sure that that's not it.

Not that I know anything about Lynx games, but even perusing through the list of Lynx games, I'm stumped. Thinking climbing walls might be a ninja thing to do, I looked up gameplay videos on Ninja Gaiden and wasn't sure about the sepia mood.

Interesting! I guess Motown doesn’t permeate everything in Detroit like I had imagined or assumed.
-
Correct @nosweargamer!
I chose Room of Doom because I actually watched your review from a month ago this morning 🙂 It’s one of my favorite 2600 games.

hints — 1) the publisher of this game only released six titles, 2) the game has an end/beatable

That looks like a backgammon board, so it must be Backgammon.
