Looking for an inexpensive controller for your Atari 2600, Commodore 64, Atari 8bit, Amiga or other retro computer system? In this video I dive deep into Hyperkin's Trooper "Premium" edition clone of the iconic Atari CX40 joystick.

What part of No longer with us do you mean exactly? I have both a 2 port that worked when I last checked it but the case is in base shape overall and a 4 port unit that is just the mainboard only but works 100%.

I'm thinking about selling mine.  But the shipping would be really high since the 5200 is so dang big.

Is your old one gone for good?  Because I also have an extra one that has a bad power switch.  I can't quite figure out how that power switch worked, so if your old board is still there, maybe I could steal the power switch from it.

I received F-ZERO for Christmas one year when I first got my Super Nintendo. I wasn't expecting it and it was an absolute thrill to play. The graphics seemed so amazing, and I really loved jumping off of the ramps. F-ZERO is also one of those Nintendo franchises that deserves to sit alongside Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, Mario Kart, etc. but for the longest time had been "forgotten" to an extent. I always find myself playing F-ZERO around this time of year, and would like to continue revisiting F-ZERO in with a special holiday Squad Challenge every year, racing a different track from the game. The "Mute City" tracks are so emblematic of the game and easy to access as they are the first track to race in all three leagues. I hope you'll all join us the next time we revisit F-ZERO in a future Squad Challenge.

I finally had time to hang those posters in my garage.  Thanks so much @atarilbc.  I had to move "haunted grandma and grandpa" to make room.

MESSAGE: Welcome to our 73rd Squad Challenge! November means Thanksgiving celebrations, Holiday shopping, and lots of FOOD! What better way to celebrate than with a few rounds of Food Fight on Atari 7800!? Food Fight has always been one of my personal all-time favorites on the 7800, and was called "a Masterpiece" in Tim Lapetino's book Art Of Atari. Is Food Fight one of your favorites on the 7800 System? Let's get ready for a Thanksgiving feast and throw some food! I hope you guys enjoy this Squad Challenge! ROM and Instruction Manual are provided below. Good luck to everyone playing!
PS!: I realize the m-ware issue is still affecting the site. It must be very annoying to get that message every time you visit our forums. I know it is for me. I'm still working on this and will get this resolved. I've been busy with taking a continuing education course for my job which has really cut into my free time to work on the site. The site will always be here and I will get the issue resolved soon!

NOTE: Our next High Score Squad Challenge will be a special winter challenge for the Super Nintendo. Be there!

    Welcome sir!!

I'm the rare person who loves cold & snow and gets a little annoyed when people here in the Northeast complain about it. It's sooooooo much better than 85 degrees and 90% humidity. (I also love rainy days as those were the days as a child I could stay inside and play Atari all day.)
Also, I'll need Kirk Cousins to start looking Stefon Diggs' way a bit more and if they could work Irv Smith Jr. into the passing game more, that would be great too.

    Hello, Atari Forums!
I am new to this site and just wanted to give a little info about myself. I am a retired Air Force vet that decided to return to run the family farm in Carrington North Dakota. Everything they say about Nort Dakota is pretty much true, so I encourage any mocking of being cold and love to hear Fargo quotes!
I started retro collecting when I bought my Sega Saturn in 2014 and now am looking to expand my Atari collection. I am not a completionist but buy the games I find interesting to play. I am currently on a quest to complete Super Ghost and Ghouls, and it is going horribly, but I am having fun. I also love movies and sports SKOL Vikings!
    Thats all.

greenween reacted to RickR in What's everybody doing for Halloween this year?
Halloween report from sunny but cold Happy Valley, Oregon:
My wife and I had 110 candies to hand out, and that lasted about an hour before we ran out.  Our candy of choice this year was SpongeBob Krabby Patties, which were a big hit with the kids.  They are little burgers where each individual item (bun, meat, cheese, pickles, etc) is a separate gummy candy.  I "may" have sampled a few for myself.  They are very tasty.
Once that was done, we decided to watch a movie we'd never seen before.  "Halloweentown", which is highly rated by Disney nerds and also has the benefit (for us) of being filmed in St. Helens, OR -- about 30 miles from us.  The movie was made in 1998, and St Helens still does "Halloweentown" celebrations and decorations each year.  Well, the movie was pretty so-so.  Debbie Reynolds is always good, and the child actors were also very good.  It's the story that's a real let-down here -- very predictable.  I think this is a fine movie for little kids, but adults are going to get a little bored.
All in all, a great night.

We never have trick or treaters here. Probably watch Eraserhead and listen to Tom Waits. Maybe play some Resident Evil 2.
