I love it, @Atari 5200 Guy. That's kind of what I'm trying to create...something that works for me and has everything out and ready to go.
This is going to sound really stupid, but the main issue I'm having is the location of my room. It's upstairs. I spend most of my time downstairs (that's where my home office is, for example). So as an example, I still have my little gaming credenza right there by my home office and I game mostly there. And that's why my Atari VCS hasn't migrated upstairs yet. It's pure laziness. But I have committed now to building it out and hopefully that will cause me to climb those stairs and have fun more often. -
Love your setup. And don't feel bad. I spend most of my time in the living room. My game room is more like going to a library. I go in, grab what I want, play it in the living room for a bit, then return it. It works best for my situation. I don't spend too much time in that room like I would want to because I have a hard time hearing my wife if she would need me for something. I've spent since January trying to get it like I want it. I got the poster from my youngest nephew so I'm trying to make that a focal point. My shelves on the left are from Wal-Mart but after I bought those two the store quit carrying them. I've not found another like those and I seriously need more shelves. Since my wife is now confined to a hospital bed in our living room I have had to find another area to try to setup a single system. Not an easy thing to do.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife. I'm sure you are taking very good care of her. But please remember to take some time for yourself every once in a while. I know how hard this can be, but it's so important. I know, as this has been my struggle for the past few months. Too much weight carried without ever acknowledging it ends up with me having small mental breakdowns every once in a while. No good.
Anyway, I'm sure your wife is thankful, and you have my sincere respect.
