1200 first try. I'm doing emulation on my computer, and the controls are really iffy. You can't move and shoot at the same time. Must stop to shoot. Is it the same on real hardware?

Your rant seems right on the money to me. We always think about what will happen in the future for games that don't have physical media and use on-line features...and now we're starting to see it happen.

6000 here. I'm playing on real hardware, but my controller sucks. It stops going right intermittently. I'll try again though.

There are very inexpensive ways to go with the 8-bits. The cheapest is an SIO2USB cable. Less than $30. It allows you to hook up a PC to the Atari as an emulated disk drive. The UNO cart is a very cheap SD card cartridge, but it only works on the XL/XE computers (with 64k), not the 800.

Besides, my memory may not be so good. The 800 may use 9v.
