  2. Everdrive is less than $50? Holy crap, off to the internets!
  3. I'm the guy who'll pay $40 to avoid having to deal with Black Friday crowds. Sanity is worth the extra $20. There's actually a growing trend of stores and malls staying closed on Black Friday, which I think is a good thing. Off topic...sorry!
  4. Just me and NSG left? I can't believe we've made it all the way to week 9!
  5. Colecovision Games: Nova Blast (label is bad) Pitfall 2600 Games Wizard of Wor Solar Fox Infiltrate Taz (missing end label) Lock N Chase Big Bird's Egg Catch (actiplaque)
  6. Trading with other members here at atari.io is a great way to get some rarer titles. I know I've gotten some really nice stuff here (thanks everyone). Prices are lower, people are nicer. Take a look in the "Trading Post" forum. nosweargamer's "Ye Olde Game Shoppe" has some rare stuff at this very moment at fantastic prices. Rowsdower says he has no rarities...that's because he's a great guy that will trade us the rare stuff he finds. And many other great people here that trade. I love this place! Otherwise, most rare stuff just comes to me by accident. I find it in big bundles/lots of games mostly.
  7. Microvision (with Block Buster and Bowling) -- Actually from Shopgoodwill. It works! A couple of DVD's A Scooby Doo plug and play. It's battery compartment was badly corroded. But it was only $1.57. Cleaned it up and it works.
  8. KidA's post got me thinking... What's YOUR rarest VCS cart? Mine is "Shuttle Orbiter", which is an R7 in the Atari Age guide. I also have a silver label Gravitar (R8), but it's for sale -- not part of my collection.
  9. I was JUST thinking of planning a visit to my San Diego son. Maybe I can fit this in too. Thanks for posting it!
  10. It's like the whole strategy of the game changes! Instead of trying to get a breakout....it's better to NOT get one to keep the bigger paddle.
  11. 419 - This one feels more difficult than that crazy Space Invaders variant.
  12. I think there are tutorials on heating the unit up in an oven to get it to re-stick...but that sounds pretty preposterous. I think some people have replaced the ribbon with soldered wires.... In either case, it sounds really difficult and iffy. I've always been really careful to not touch the two adjustments on top. Of course, one day I came home from work to find my kid and a friend playing with it, and the friend was pulling on BOTH adjustments every time it was his turn! Dang, son! New rule in house...don't touch Virtual Boy without permission. And don't touch the knobs.
  13. Yeah, the ribbon coming loose is common. I pray to God that never happens to mine.
  14. Mario Tennis is AWESOME! Most people hate the virtual boy, but it's one of my favorite systems. The 3D effect is really good.
  15. Yeah Yes...buy a composite-modded 2600 from atarilbc
  16. Wooo! That sign is SWEET! Video works for me if I download it first. I don't think the site let's you embed videos unless you upload them to YouTube first.
  17. PS - I still have cleaned and tested paddles AND super breakout carts if anyone needs them (for trade or sale).
  18. I'm afraid to even try. But I will this weekend. Playing with that Tic-Tac looks very difficult. Although it probably leaves your breath minty fresh.
  19. That's true. It's very rare to find boxed GBA games in the wild. Nice pickups Lee.
  20. I mean to say on the 7800 they aren't labeled and it's hard to tell which way is A and which is B. It's opposite of a 2600 4-switch though I think.
  21. I think the difficulty switches on the 7800 are wonky. Easiest way to determine which is really A or B is to put Space Invaders in. In position A, your ship will be wide.
