  1. This is a great post! Congrats to you both, and a hope for many more.
  2. Happy Halloweeen everyone! And welcome to all these great new members.

  3. One more... Suncom TAC-2. I'd rate this one pretty high. It has a nice tight feel to it. Feels very high quality. I like it better than the Wico's.
  4. Adding this one: "GIM Electronics Fire Command - VC-2001" This one is probably the nicest joystick I've ever used for the 2600. The stick and buttons feel exactly like an arcade machine. The base is heavy and doesn't move around.
  5. Wow! It's had some great owners. It's in great shape. Thanks!
  6. From Mr. Nosweargamer. Were these the actual carts from his video reviews of these games? I'm going to pretend the answer is YES. THANKS!
  7. I've got Atari collections, Midway classics, Konami collection, Activision Anthology, Intellivsion Lives, etc etc etc on several systems. Basically, if I see them, I buy them. PS2, GBA, Xbox, etc. So while I prefer the originals on original consoles, I'll collect the modern compilations and enjoy them. PS - WELCOME to the boards!
  8. Agree. Love the Lynx...but a bit too bulky on a plane. Especially all those batteries, sadly. I'm like BA Barracus....I HATE flying. Makes me anxious as <bleep>. Traveling as light as possible is my strategy. Less stress.
  9. I'm sorry to beat the dead horse...but I got to play the game at PRGE, and it was really really great. The point being, they didn't need to resort to a stunt like this. The game is good enough to stand on it's own without bogus hype.
  10. Yeah, I'm debating SP or DS....but like I said...no headphone jack on SP makes it kind of hard to play on the noisy plane. 457 in 1 is another good choice. Also "Cooking Mama"...that one came up in chat yesterday.
  11. Sanford and Son. Whenever I collect old junk with kids in tow, they get called Lamont. That's a Dad rule. This still applies, and they are 17 and 20 now.
  12. Well, I've got a long plane trip and vacation coming up fast! I thought I'd share the games I'm taking. Your comments please! My wife will be attending a conference, so if i end up with nothing to do, I figure this will keep me happy. I'm taking a DS this time instead of my GBA-SP because it's got a headphone jack. I'm most looking forward to spending time with Yoshi's Island and Mario Party.
  13. If I lived in your complex, your videos would go like this: "I need to get down to that recycling bin before that weirdo in 11G does! That guy is always poking around there looking for good junk. Sometimes he drags his kids down with him and calls them both 'Lamont'.".
  14. The Art of Atari books are on sale on Amazon today for very nice prices. For me, the regular version is $30 and the deluxe is $78.
  15. They had the book for sale at PRGE, and the authors were there to sign. The issue for me was that they had sold out the standard version ($30), and the deluxe version was $80. I'm a cheap SOB, we all know that. I couldn't justify that higher price with 1 kid in college and another on the way next year. I will tell you that the book looks absolutely stunningly awesome. So much better than I imagined. For those that bought it, I can promise you are going to love it. Trust me on this. I agonized about buying the deluxe version. I do feel thankful that they let me thumb through it. I also had the opportunity at PRGE to purchase an Intellivision flash cart that looked awesome. But it was $120. Well worth it...but did I mention that I'm a cheap SOB? I thought very hard about this one too, but imagined my wife with her hands on her hips making angry eyes....I had to leave it.
  16. I have not yet tested, but I just figured out that the "AMC" cart may be "Attack of the Mutant Camels". What a neat thing to find!
  17. Genesis! Mega Drive sounds like it should play CD's.
  18. I had to pick that up for $1. And I'm pronouncing it "Tommy" in your honor.
  19. PRGE notes Due to other commitments, I only went on Sunday this year. But it was still really packed The show is HUGE. I can remember the days when it was a pretty marginal deal. But now...big time. Hundreds of vendors. Hundreds of games to play and try. Thousands of people. I took no pictures (sorry). My hands were too full from my haul (see below). I got the high score on Berzerk! Played a ton of pinball. Notes on my haul Thank you to the Intellivionaires for the cool badge. Got to play the infamous "Jr Pac Man" for Intellivision. It's great. Bought raffle tickets for a good cause -- Kid's charity in Cowlitz county, WA. Spent way too much...but all this good junk needed a new home.
  20. I can say this would have been incredible Play any Lynx game on an emulator...the graphics are fantastic even on a larger screen.
  21. Mattel Electronics Football 2 (works perfectly) Football is GONE. Quickshot Joystick for NES (works perfectly) Both for trade or sale. Thanks.
