  1. Yes and yes. I get marketing e-mails at work from a company called "Fortinet", and of course I sing that jingle. My younger co-workers look at me funny and the older ones crack up.
  2. Understood. But I'm not sure I can open a Froggo cart without damaging the label.
  3. It is weird and I've seen that before. The games load up but have weird glitches.
  4. I'm partial to any that have a catch-phrase or jingle. "Extra value is what you get, when you buy Coronet", for example. And I'll still always answer the question of "What are you doing?" with "Nut-n-Honey".
  5. Agree! Ep2 was really good, but needed more Q. Still, it's quite an adventure. Of all the new characters, I like Elnor the best. That naive/ass-kicker combo is pretty entertaining IMO. Yes. My guess is the writers probably feel she's too "one note" of a character. But I think she brings a lot to the table.
  6. I have fallen in-line with the philosophy you mention of minimizing and having the games that I really love handy and accessible. I'm really trying hard to play and enjoy, and stop collecting unless it's something that helps me in my goal. For example, I just purchased an ATGames Arcade mini console with the hope of having all the arcade games I love in a simple to use package. I still have to sell a bunch of stuff, which is part of the minimization goal. This takes time and effort, so it's been slow going.
  7. Ep 2. I think it's tonight.
  8. This week, I had broached the subject of cancelling Disney+ with my wife. Since we've finished Boba Fett and watched all the new release movies we've wanted to. But then I saw this series is coming and NOPE. Not gonna cancel quite yet. :)
  9. OK, last night's episode of Star Trek Discovery was excellent! The whole concept of trying to communicate with an advanced alien race is so Star Trekky and we don't see enough of that. And why don't we get more of Jet Reno? That acerbic candor the character offers is so refreshing. Tonight, the next episode of Picard is releasing, so I'll be watching that.
  10. I second what @CrossBowsaid regarding pictures. For high score contests and such, I use a small Canon digital "point and shoot" camera and make sure to turn the flash off. Make sure to have the screen fill the camera image and hold that camera as still as possible. And for whatever reason, my Google phone does take much better pictures in general than that Canon camera. Mostly, it's able to focus better. Your review is really good! Please keep them coming.
  11. I'm sorry! I hope you do hang in there and I'm so glad you are here. This game is quite impressive in so many respects.
  12. I think it's safe to assume most of us retro gamers were watching this with a bit of excitement from the start. And that slowly turned to horror as things unwound. I personally was willing to give them a huge benefit of the doubt for the pandemic. After all, that also delayed the Phoenix for several months. But alas, while the Phoenix eventually shipped (and the project team kept communication to a minimum), the Amico was smoke and mirrors. And there's still that cult/crusade feeling as now it's turned into youtubers calling each other out and pointing fingers. For what? Report the facts and move on fellas. Please.
  13. Yeah, I love the 7800 too. But too many "what-if's" and facepalms with Atari. I guess that's part of the fun.
  14. I have no issue with any of these choices, and I really like those two games @Silver Backmentioned of One on One and Water Ski. I'd add "Asteroids" to the list. It seems impossible that Atari could breathe new life into that old rock, but they did, and it turns out to be the best home version period. The main issue I have with looking over the 7800 library is how limited it feels. So many arcade games and rehashes of computer games that had been out for several years already. For all the talk of the 7800 hardware vs the NES, we fail to credit the creativity of NES game designers. SMB, Zelda, Kirby, Castlevania, etc....how many series got cemented into classics on the NES? Would Atari have ever been able to duplicate that level of creativity in software? In the end, the hardware is irrelevant. It's the software. Midnight Mutants fits the bill then for a hidden gem to me. If only we got more like this! What kills me is that Atari probably would have NEVER figured this out. After all, think about 2600 "Adventure", the best 2600 game of all time (IMO). Did they ever come up with a follow up or build a story/mythology around it? NO! They simply lost that ability to think creatively about software.
  15. I need to find the time then to watch Lower Decks. My wife and I are in the market for a 30 minute show to stream. For those nights when we just don't have a lot of time or need something for filler. We just finished Boba Fett and Ghosts in that 30 minute role. I'm not sure what to do next. I will suggest Lower Decks, but it may not be her cup of tea. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.
  16. These are great, you guys. I'm saving them in my Windows wallpaper directory (the computer is set to randomly cycle the desktop background). Thanks!
  17. Star Trek: Wesley and Alexander. They're grown up and telling all of Starfleet to shut up.
  18. They are saturating the market, aren't they? Strange New Worlds is the next one. I know we've had others recommend the animated series of Lower Decks and Prodigy. I haven't had the time to check those out.
  19. On your #2, try baby oil instead. It smells nicer. It's just scented mineral oil. Your trick does work, but I don't do it. Why? It's messy. And a several good wrist shakes of your razor usually gets all the water off.
