RickR got a reaction from nosweargamer in M-Network 1982 Atari 2600 Catalog
The coolest M-Network thing is how you can play Astroblast with either a joystick OR paddle. And in paddle mode, the game is fantastic, IMO. That makes the M-Network version even better than the real Intellivision version. Sorry Rowsdower. The rest of the M-Network games are great, but original INTV versions are better.

Oh man, that's a good choice too.
I also like the mini-cab version of Missile Command. I was thinking when I made my MAME cabinet, I'd use that Atari mini-cab as the model/inspiration.

If I win the lottery why would I get only one machine? I would get Asteroids, Space Fury, Space Encounters, Death Race, Tron, Discs of Tron and Gorf.
Until then I'll have to settle for the MAME cab I made from Computer Space.

Nothing beats jumping from lily pad to lily pad catchin' flies!

I just want a simple millipede machine, but they keep eluding me.

Here's another one that I posted to my facebook and twitter.
M-Network game cartridges are my least favorite design due to the tiny labels and the difficulty in storing them due to their Intellivison cartridge shell Frankensteined to fit in a 2600.

OMG, you've outdone yourselves. These things are AWESOME. I like them all, but the Adventure one is my fave. Directly onto my work pack it goes:
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Got mine today! Awesome!
(There was a delay because my address had two numbers reversed. PM me, and I make sure you got the right number. I'd message you, but I'm not sure if it was Justin or Dan who sent it)

Who wants to play retro handheld games on their TV?
Well, now you can with the Mattel Classic Sports 3-in-1 plug and play! Baseball, football, and basketball -- the LED versions right on your bigscreen! Have fun, kids, and stop scratching your heads.

These handhelds definitely have more of a 'You-had-to-be-there' appeal to us retro gamers who started out with these mobile games back when electronics was turning out to be a kid's best friend.
Portability, multi-player ops, brief time-efficient rounds, basic strategy - all-in-all some incredibly-tight fun in a small package.
Battery turnover was the biggest setback, and even that didn't affect us as much as it did when larger sets came about (looking at you, Coleco Pac-Man...aww c'mere, gimme a hug old pal!).
I dunno what they expected out of a big screen port. NoSwear's vid pretty much sums it up. Just a terrible idea.
But those original handheld re-issues I see popping around? Pure gold!
Get those instead. Impress your friends, family and co-workers.
Amaze the dog!
Bore the cat!
Get some batteries!
Still have my Battlestar Galactica: Space Alert.
Had so much fun with it, it earned a spot in the family and I gave it a name.
uh...I named it Battlestar Galactica: Space Alert, to avoid confusion.
