Ep 481 covers Carnival for the Intellvision. It has a terrible reputation, but is it that bad?

Whoa... I finally own a valuable piece of gaming history. I feel incredibly lucky, and I plan to hold onto mine. I only wish I had managed to get the pack of extra controller overlays.

I'm also about to sell off the more rare games from my Intellivision collection.  Don't know if anyone here would be interested.  But if so, contact me.  My prices will be pricecharting minus 20%

I've been playing mine a lot lately.  Here are the ones I really like:
Choplifter - still the best version of Choplifter for home systems. Shinobi - really good side scrolling action Hang On - Really fun, nice and fast. Reggie Jackson Baseball - fun, but you gotta press reset until you get a green field. Rastan - I like the changing weapons.  And here are some that I hated:
California Games - TERRIBLE compared to any other version I've tried -- and that includes the 2600 version and Lynx.  Double Dragon - One of my favorite games.  It's not fun at all on this system.  Lots of flicker and each bad guy takes a million hits to kill. That's a pretty good "great to awful" ratio if you ask me.  All the other games I have fall in the middle.

So I redid my Mod. It's so much better this time. As to if my 2600 controller stopped working for some reason it would be much easier to switch it up! Check out my video!
 

Well, I did a test run and uploaded the results on YouTube for all to see (oh DEAR!).  I managed to play with the settings more, using MPEG-2, and now get over 11 hours of video footage.
 

Yeah, man, they are selling at prices between $50 and $100.  Just search and then click the "sold listings" checkbox.... I'd probably keep mine if the box was smaller.  But the giant box takes up more space than it should.  Add the fact that I don't play it....

If the INTV one sells, the ColecoVision one I have won't be far behind.  For whatever reason, I'm very much in a downsizing mode right now.  And like you said, the emulation isn't quite right on that one.

Since I don't have an Intellivision, and games for it, I am just going to donate mine. Paying it forward so to speak. Besides, I need the space for any future SMS games I plan to get. I'm also seriously considering parting with the TI and VIS collection for the same reasons RickR has mentioned...I don't use them and really have no history with them. They are cool but just not my cup of tea. And as much as I like the 32" TV I have it has been nothing but a burden. It is on a floor with machines connected to it. Great picture, awesome sound, but I can't find a stand to support its weight. I found another 20" that would be more manageable. Going to try to simply do a trade on the TVs.
 
I agree...it is crazy just how much those flashbacks are going for. I wonder if the same thing will happen with the coins McDonald's is giving out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Big Mac?

I was just about to list mine.  I don't use it, I'd rather play the real Intellivision.  Was going to start the bidding at $50. 

Mine doesn't see much use either but mine has the sleeve signed by all the Blue Sky Rangers.

Have any of you really look this up recently. I was shocked!
